I don't actually speak German, so I don't know if this is a good example, but: is there a difference between an englische Lektion and an Englischlektion? If so, that's the same thing as what I'm talking about for English.
I think there is a difference, like in english. "englische Lektion" means a lesson, that is tought in english language, so you can put a word between like "Mathe" which would be a math(-)lesson, in english language. But "Englischlektion" is a lesson in the subject english, so you can just put a word in front of it.
Yeah, so English is basically the same in that respect. And that's why you can have a private English lesson, not an English private lesson.
Also, even though it doesn't apply in this specific case, in English you have to use adjectives in a certain order.
