Save the file on your computer. Upload wherever you can - for example, imgur.com is a popular free hosting service, and AFIAK they store things indefinitely. Then, to insert it into a forum post, you can copy the BB Code on the side after you upload to imgur, or use whatever url you have and use the "insert image" button here with your URL pasted in between the BBCode tags.
