Adventures added +1 Card, +1 Action, +1 Buy, +$1 tokens. It added a permanent +Card Duration (Hireling) and a permanent +Action Duration (Champion).
To me, the obvious extension of those new ideas is permanent +Buy and +Coin Durations[..]
Reading through the backlog and this post from 5 years ago predicted Endless Chalice. Cool.

When playtesting non-Dominion games, do you feel a need to use external blind playtesters? Or do you trust the people you know to give good feedback? Or some third option I didn't think of?

Disguise Artist giving two Coppers is harsh, but if it is to their Hand assisting in them obtaining the Dream's goal, then it would be much less harsh.  :)
I'll have to playtest it for sure, then report back here. IDK really how strong the card is.

Usually the important parts of a kingdom are "how many cards can I gain per turn" and "how much can I draw here"
Also, "Can I play multiple terminals". You can sometimes find sneaky ways to do it, like with Throne variants or with Sculptor/Gondola like a recent game I had.
I find the main strategizing at the start of the game is "What card or combo will gain me the most VP" and then "How do I play as much of that card as possible as fast as possible." So trashing, draw, early buy power.

Like an evil Baker! Should be really weird to have effectively different starting cash. With this there are effectively the 1/5, 2/4, 3/3, and 4/2 openings. Above the line isn't special, just a gainer that can gain expensive stuff(otherwise harder to get with this on the table) for a price...

EDIT: I didn't see LibraryAdventurer's old version of Wereshop when I made this. Great minds just think alike ;)

Until the pile is empty, it looks like you can gain a Bison on-play, making it a far superior Village (comes with a Villager on-gain, and you can store the extra action as a Villager if you don’t need it right away). That’s not to mention the flexibility.

Can't believe I didn't think about that. Hopefully fixed! Market Square with the gainer flexibility and not costing a buy instead of its reaction? Fits better with my original idea, too.

VERSION 2

This one's a one-shot cantrip, similar to Horse. It's part of a fan expansion I'm working on, but modified to fit the contest better. Thematically, it's sort of supposed to represent the slaughter of the Great Plains bison. The villagers are to match how the bison herds supported Native tribes. It can gain itself, but not if the pile is out(extinct). Eventually, you use up the bison resource to gain a Silver or something of equal value(using every part of the buffalo *or* slaughtering for the money).

Full transparency here, I lied a little. I was actually on the losing end of that game. Just salty and wanted to pretend my opponent at least felt bad about thwomping me.

Normally, you can't play two Tacticians. Here's a sneaky and entirely impractical way I figured:
Draw King's Court, King's Court, Artisan, Vassal, and Copper
King's Court
     King's Court, playing Artisan and Vassal
Artisan
     Gain Tactician
     Put Tactician on your deck
Artisan
     Gain Falconer
     Put Falconer on your deck
Artisan
     Gain Tactician
     Put Tactician on your deck
Vassal
     Reveal and play Tactician, discarding Copper
Vassal
     Reveal and play Falconer, gaining Vassal to your hand
Vassal
     Reveal and play Tactician, discarding Vassal
You now have 6 coins for your Buy phase(maybe buy an Artisan for consistency). At the start of your next turn, draw 10 cards, get +2 Actions, and +2 Buys. Profit.

I'm sorry about all those neverending turns with Ironworks and Experiment, and also Watchtower topdecking all the experiments that meant Goons just went crazy. Although maybe it's kinda your fault for not forfeiting earlier.

I had a crazy Quartermaster game where I got annihilated by an opponent who had 5 Quartermasters by the end of the game. He was putting Gondolas into his hand to smooth out his money and gaining estates and it was a whole thing.

The VPs should make it worth it to buy in the late game when the effect is worthwhile. Might be too strong.

A riff on Canal. The Workers soften the blow of losing your discount if you have the perfect chance at gaining that Province or need a 5-cost.

Security seems awful to track. It's also completely useless in games with no Attacks. The rest of these all seem pretty good.
Also, what makes these different from Charters?
