This is a game right? How we play it?

I think we just improvise the rest of it. The Choser send a loan emissary to every other space nation demanding their surrender.

I have played a lot of Cosmic IRL recently. I played a game that reminded me of my Kamikaze/Hoard combo recently.

I was Reborn/Glutton, which is already an awesome power combo, but another player was the Extortionist, so we got into this fantastic game of chicken where I was drawing a ton of cards until there was one I would let him keep or until I was going to lose a colony. It was great.

(Reborn - Every time I lose a ship to the warp, I draw a card. Every time I take a ship from the warp, I may discard a card.

Glutton - Every time I draw cards from the deck, I draw 2 additional (including when I first receive my hand). Every time I take ships from the warp, I take 2 more.

Extortionist - Every time a player draws a card, the Extortionist gets to randomly take half of them (rounded down) OR the player drawing cards must lose one ship of the Extortionist's choice to the warp.)

So I would draw a bunch of cards as rewards or something. He'd say, "I want half." I'd say, "No way, kill a ship." He would send a ship to the warp and I'd draw 1+2 cards...and the process would repeat. It would end when I only had one ship on an outside colony or when I didn't care if he took one of the 3 cards. Eventually, he stopped demanding cards from me. ;D

I won by causing a cosmic quake with the Glutton super in my hand.

I love Cosmic Encounter.

I should dig up the PM I sent to Axxle ages ago of power combination suggestions that he never used..

I've played with Amoeba/Virus before. Just an awesome random draw (well, I probably picked 2/3). Really fun.

I played a really weird game recently where I was Genius and Masochist. I lost, but I was making really interesting decisions throughout.

I love some of those, even if they're unstoppably OP.

I have my doubts on finding someone who'll step in for Cayvie, but if it works out, then great.

I had already resigned myself to the fact that this game is dead, but I'm willing to be pleasantly surprised. I can imagine how much of a pain it is to mod CE. That's why I chose to mod games with minimal mod attention needed (though Red November does keep me busy, but it's at least minor).

Looks like all of the other players are still active, at least. Dsell is the only one I’m not 100% sure on, but I recently played Password with him, so I'm sure he's still active with our games.

So, knocking on wood, but I won't be too sad if this game dies away. The Claw will always be victorious in my mind.

I'm active! I basically agree with Kuildeous, it would be great if this game came back! But it's understandable and no problem if it doesn't.

Ditto, I'd already written this off, but if it comes back I'd be happy to finish it up.

I haven't played this before but I signed up for Cosmic Encounter V and am still willing to give this a shot. I need to read the thread to see what has gone on so far, then I could possibly replace if needed.

(wait is this the double-power game. that's gonna be even MORE fun to play as a first game >_< )

And it's the nobody-wants-to-be-my-friend power combination too, if I recall.

It's the overly-attached-girlfriend combination (fungus parasite)

So I just bought this online recently, gonna try it out this weekend. I'm willing to sub in to this overly-attached girlfriend position if people still want to finish this (even if it means changing my avatar).

Do we still have a mod? Voltgloss had taken over for Axxle, but maybe Axxle can retake over?
