I mean my analysis was correct... and I even ended up suspected O but him and gkrieg needing to be scum together made the less appealing to lynch than, you know, Datswan. Or Robz, why did I unvote Robz ??

Tracking EFHW looks really dumb, but all of the actual scum were in my "too obvious to be doing the kill" list.

Even the day one lynch was really bad, it was so clearly scum driven because nothing happened all day and it was impossible to get more than 3 people to commit to anything then all the sudden five people were happy to lynch joseph.

Eh, town is happy to lynch basically anyone day 1 too, so I don't know about that.

Also nice play from O blocking tep and convincing most of us that yea thats probably something town!O would do. Welcome to being held to super high standards of play and never getting away with that again :)

yea i've really screwed my metagame for this win. Worth it tho!

It's notably satisfying because {me, robz, gkrieg} were a scum team recently and we got destroyed in that one. So lots of redemption in a perfect win.

I had robz and gkrieg nailed day one, knew they forced the lynch on town roleblocker and then the universal backup blocked our joat from saving or potential doctor and obvious nk. Man I really wish I wasn't on a cruise for the first half of this game.

Oh gosh and the colossal coincidence that scum kills efhw, galz redirects to efhw, and idptg visits galz actually happened. I was going to have a tough time believing that coincidence I think it still could have been salvagable if galz had redirected to anyone else or idptg visited not glaz/efhw.

I think that's just not true at all, I mean by deadline sure but we still barely only got the lynch because I didn't want a no lynch day. I have equally difficult times getting my preferred lynch through day one as scum and as town. Easy lynches are because town has gone after town and they have a plethora of scum to rally to their side.

Time for some Voltaire style all too early POE list

Won’t lynch: faust, Idp
Don’t want to lynch: teproc, datswan, Chairs
Are you playing: O, seanbean, andrew
Would lynch: Joseph, galz, ash
Want to lynch: robz, gkrieg

Apparently not too early at all.

But if scum had killed someone else you would have cleared efhw, if glaz had targeted someone else you would have cleared that person, it was a mistake compounded by two other actions colliding that really hurt.

I guess the other issue was that my read on robz was 100% meta and due to how he was reacting to me in our QT as well as his first like 2 posts so it was really really difficult to make more of a case than he's acting incredibly scummy. Still don't know why my gkrieg case didn't get more love I think improperly defending people is one of the easier to find scum tells. Bad defenses are waay better than bad cases because townies are much much less likely to make them.

Oh really good play btw, I totally forgot after everything that gkrieg could insta kill idptg, he had to not visit at all, not just visit a town player. Shoot. Jeez scum was just a tad overpowered in my opinion due to the fact that gkrieg could insta kill the cop/confirm all roles, robz takes two lynches and best case scenario of O getting roleblocker happened. I guess gkrieg cant due that if we didn't mass claim and we absolutely lost to crappy play so its no big deal.

I think scum was maybe a tad overpowered in terms of power, but keep in mind that was due to picking up the roleblock from the Day 1 Joseph lynch, which was good play on our party, rather than something having to do with the setup.

The massclaim totally neutered Galz and faust, and really neutered Teproc and EFHW, who otherwise could have done a lot of good.

Town had three opportunities to lynch scum before we auto-won, which is pretty much standard. And we needed everything to go perfectly for that auto-win to come up--me not getting lynched yet, IDP choosing to visit at all last night (a huge mistake).

Yeah, mcmc's reads straight-up terrify me. He nailed gkrieg AGAIN right out of the gate. I thought being mildly suspicious of mcmc would make mcmc less suspicious of me--it did not.

I'm pretty proud of how we handled the Day 2 Teproc-gkrieg-O thing. The plan, which worked, was "Insist that this is town on town on town. This is all town. Town town town. TOWN." The scary thing was Teproc sort-of realizing the only thing that could possibly make more sense than triple town was O and gkrieg being buddies together, but that didn't get pursued enough.

I thought I was going down for sure on Day 3, I hadn't gotten nearly enough attention yet, and there were a bunch of people still around who would have like to lynch me.

Redemption for gkrieg-O-Robz!

Oh, and I reeeeally liked this setup, actually. Lots of interesting decisions to make, knowing what PRs were out there. It was also cool knowing who could have what but not whether they were active.

I think it was decently balanced, ultimately. I think if we hadn't massclaimed it would have seemed more favorable to town.

The role outcomes might have ended up slightly scum favored, but town had a tracker, a weak cop, a doctor, a one shot tracker/one shot doctor and got a grand total of one result out to town thanks to the massclaim.

Massclaims aren't always great, people.

Sorry I didn't have enough time to really push town to go for my scum reads, we had a super super super inactive town and its a huge bummer idptg didn't investigate robz or gkrieg night 2 but neverthless great job scum, and thanks to arch for modding!

Also nice play from O blocking tep and convincing most of us that yea thats probably something town!O would do. Welcome to being held to super high standards of play and never getting away with that again :)

Well done guys. I was certain O D2, but the unfortunate series of events pulled that read after N2. I was also leaning heavily Robz throughout, and almost (meaninglessly) targeted him instead of EFHW N2. Well, I mean, IDPTG would've ended up dead indicting me as his target to Mcmc. At that point it becomes a "do you believe Galz redirected or is scum" game. Likely still ends in my lynch over Robz. Gkrieg I town read all the way though.

It's funny that Teproc tracked EFHW. I thought for sure he would track O, and so I convinced O to block gkrieg in hopes that Teproc would see this and come away convinced that O and gkrieg couldn't be scum together.

Yeah, and unfortunately while I was essentially NK proof (really, it would've been ridiculous for scum to target me), I was just a single target. It's not like they lacked for options. My power to town was essentially useless the moment we massclaimed.
