Has anyone considered trying to contact Goko through someone who has interviewed them recently -- such as this article or this article? Those authors may be interested in writing something about Goko tanking if that is indeed what has happened.

I mean, Goko IS down essentially, right? We just have to wait until they stop picking themselves back up. It seems like the going down is getting ever more common, while the getting back up is getting less and less immediate.

Thanks!  I will endeavor to do my best to be there for these poor souls.  At the very least they deserve some comfort in these trying times and the geniuses at Goko are obviously far too important to devote their resources to the effort.  Also, thanks to my familiarity with their software and operations, I'm more than qualified to offer expert assistance.

Pity they don't have a content fanbase.

My guess would be, that a lot of these problems stem from the "content production team in Vietnam", that is, it's quite likely that they are working/have been working on the code while its LIVE. I've seen this a lot in Vietnam (best practices are largely unknown)... while doing this they probably broke something and well, here we are.

I haven't been playing much at all lately because GOKO is clearly deteriorating and there has been no improvement in the few games I played here and there.   It really feels like they are trying to make this a limited time operation where they can make their initial money and then throw the whole project in the dumpster, which is a damn shame because Dominion is such a timeless game.

Here's the post that amuses me the most. A confused Goko player posted the following (all typoes left in):

Look, two game in a row with the same cards in the supply, I have to play to the lotery !!!

...

The statistic said having two game with the same card in a row could happen one time in about 28.900.000.000.000.000 games

With goko I made i twice in a row !!!

I believe I can be of some assistance, as I recently toured the Goko facility. The server hosting the games is a 386 hooked up to one of those "Trouble" bubbles with a dice in it.

This is what does the randomization. My guess is that the monkey pushing the bubble was on lunch break so you got the same configuration for a while. No big deal.

I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything at the time; I would've ruined my computer screen!
