Role PMs:

Everybody but Voltgloss:

Welcome to BMXII!  You are a Scared Pacifist.

All the fighting going on must stop.  You win when a no-lynch occurs and you are still alive.  But you are too afraid to try and stop the fighting.  You may not claim (or hint) to be anything other than a vanilla town from town 1 or 2.  You may also not vote no-lynch unless someone else is.  If you do either, you will be modkilled.

You are also a death Miller, and your flip will be either a VT town 1 flip or a VT town 2 flip.

Voltgloss:

Welcome to BMXII!  You are a Never-Dying Survivor.

You live out in the woods, and life has been peaceful.  But recently the fighting has spread to your territory.  You don't care who wins this battle, as long as you are alive when it is over.  So, You win when you are alive at the end of the game.

Your soul outlives your body for some reason.  When you die, another random player will be chosen and will become your role.  You will still have lost at this point.

My original thought was just that everybody would be a normal pacifist.  But I realized then everybody would vote no lynch right away and be done.  So I made the whole scared pacifist role and made the extra role be "never dying".  I knew the game would probably end like this, but it did happen quicker than I expected.  Probably because of Box's misreading his role PM and voting no lynch.

Also, it was never my intention to have the two towns.

Huh.  Need idea, but tough to pull off.

It probably would have gone on longer if Box hadn't voted no lynch.  I was hoping Voltgloss would get lynched, because that would make some more stuff happen (the new survivor would probably just vote no lynch though the next day).

Here's my response to sudgy upon getting my role PM:

Hilarious.  I love it.  Confirmed.

I hope you sent this role to everyone. :)

I love the smell of irony in the morning.
Smells like... victory.

my idea was pretty much to make it clear to anyone who might have had the same role as I did that I had it too, which I thought was quite likely to be most people from the way people were acting regarding no lynch, which would generally be a terrible idea. I think this worked. Not sure it mattered, but hey, it was fun.

I really like the idea of dueling towns. You should sign up for another BM game and do it.

I currently imagine mail-mi wearing a dark trenchcoat and a bowler hat, hunched over a bit, toothpick in his mouth, holding a gun in his pocket.  One bead of sweat trickling down his nose.

I have no idea how to make it work well, even though I pretended I did in the opening post.  If somebody else wants to, go ahead, I'll sign up for it, but I won't do it.

Also, mail-mi, you almost guessed the exact setup with your reply to your role PM...

I had fun with this.  Short, but clever and satisfying.  Thanks, sudgy!
