A very strange kingdom/setup
« on: September 23, 2013, 04:02:44 pm »

This setup has Alchemists, but not Potions.
It has Horse Traders, but no Reactions!
Platinum is available, but Colonies are not.
Followers may be gained at some point, but the same cannot be said of Trusty Steed.

What else is in the Kingdom?

My guess is that it is not Dominion.

The answer doesn't refer to any other game.

What else is in the Kingdom?

A footnote that reads "Proudly programmed by Goko".

I currently imagine mail-mi wearing a dark trenchcoat and a bowler hat, hunched over a bit, toothpick in his mouth, holding a gun in his pocket.  One bead of sweat trickling down his nose.

Is Mandarin in the kingdom but Count is not?

(I could have found a totally unrelated connection here)

Stables would work here, no?

If you add them to regular Traders.

I know you said Colonies aren't in the kingdom, but there is one Colony, right?

I suspect it's one of those "On the moon, there are apples but no bananas" games, but I haven't figured out which one.

Are you sure there isn't an Abandoned Mine? But thankfully, by my reckoning there's no Goons.

Oops, I said his answer was correct, but you're right. Of course, there are no Ruins an
either way. Which makes sense, because there are no Looters.

Yep, forgot about that, that's not as bad then...

Haha well I figured if there were Horse Traders but no Reactions then logic was out the window a bit...no Treasures either, that should be interesting

I'm not sure why the quote, but I think you'll find Victory Cards well represented in this. However, I agree that there are no easy victories to be had. (The line about no Looters, while technically correct, fails to note that this applies only to Marauder and Death Cart. I fully expect Cultist to be in the set.)

If I've figured it out, then there is Gold and Silver, even though there are no Treasures.  There's definitely no Copper.

And even though there are no Colonies, there is a Colony, right?

As for number of players, you can have two, five, or six, but not three or four.  One is OK, Solitaire is not.

I think I've got it, and in fact Copper should be available, along with all the Provinces, one Duchy (which makes Duke sad even though he's available), and all the Estates.  You can even play with all the Shelters!  Also available for Victory cards: Gardens and Farmland, but no Silk Roads and no Fairgrounds.

Also, crap, there are no Actions at all!  Big Money FTW.

I'm not entirely sure if Big Money is a viable strategy in this kingdom. It's debateable, though.

Also, Rebuild and Minion are gone, finally.
