Who else is really happy to see Theory move several posts into more appropriate categories?  Cleaning up the forum to make it better for everyone.  I just hope I put this post in the right place.....

You are both right.  I looked around a bit for the right place to put my comment, but spending most of my time reading threads in game reports, articles, and general discussion and not commenting myself has caused me to overlook certain places on the forum.  Feedback being one of them.

But given the poster's name, this really deserves to go in the math forum.  Can we get it moved to the "Rules" one?

It may be partly related to me (and maybe others) reporting those posts. IIRC, theory has, in the past, encouraged the use of the "report to moderator" button to report inappropriately placed topics and topics that go way off topic.

theory - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong and I'll stop reporting them!

Thanks.  This is twofold:

1) More people started using "report to moderator", which is very helpful.

2) Usually I move topics without leaving behind a placeholder topic, but I've lately started using that feature.

I prefer no placeholder, but I may be in the minority.

I use it either when the topics are well-established (and so people are coming back to it) or if the topic creator is new to the forum and I just want to give them a gentle pointer in the direction of the right subforum.
