Was fiddling with this the other day.  Normally you don't want to trash Estates with Stonemason, but with Stables, having extra Coppers is no biggie, and honestly better than having the Estates.  Stonemason also lets you pick up two Stableses at once.  Anyone else notice this?

There is something here but it isn't necessarily as simple as trashing estates for coppers. The stables will provide the drawing and cycling needed to get the stonemasons in hand with other key cards so you can often build a more ambitious deck.

Stonemason has similar, if not more, synergy with Spice Merchant in this case. Overpay to get 2 Spice Merchants and a Stonemason, and you can thin your deck of Estates *and* Coppers while getting some early +Buy / nonterminal draw to set up your engine. It's slower than other trashing methods, but there have been games where Spice Merchant is the only source of +Buy and I feel this would help.

You don't really want to be replacing one junk card with two junk cards. So I think it's less of a combo and more of a "okay, sometimes you'll do this and itr will be fine."
