 So Guilds arrived yesterday, and now I'm sitting at somewhere around 1500 cards, more than twenty of them blanks. I'd like to put them to good use, and I have fan cards decided on. It would be easy for me to put these together if I had sleeves; just print out pictures and slip them in. The problem is that it'd cost me $30-40 and who knows how many hours of my time to buy enough sleeves and put them all on.
The alternative would be to have Kinko's print them out on stickers, but I don't know whether that's possible, or if it's possible to do well.

Does anyone here have any experience sleeving 1500 cards in one sitting, or with using cards with stickers on them? What's my best option here?

I vote sleeves because you can reuse them: if you tire of one fan card, you can make another!

Sitting down and sleeving thousands of cards isn't that bad, I've done it a few times.  I find it easier to sleeve as you go, though.  Like sleeve another kingdom each day, play a game with that kingdom, then the next day, pick 10 of the unsleeved ones (sleeve the randomizer cards to track it!).  You don't have to do it this way, but it makes it less tedious.  You get faster as you go pretty soon though.

The only downside to sleeves is the price, but I have no idea what custom stickers cost.

Well, I don't own a color printer, so even with sleeves I'd have to get the paper printed at a shop.

This is how i manage that;
I have 200 sleeves
I put the base treasures and victory cards in sleeves.
The kingdom cards i dont put in sleeves, becouse when someone buys it he puts the sleeve on it.
Of course you can put the printed cards on the sleeves

Wouldn't constantly sleeving and unsleeving the cards actually cause more hurt than help?

Yes! It works for me fine. It doesnt matter how many expansions you have, I have base, prosperity, cornucopia and dark ages!

Yes! It works for me fine. It doesnt matter how many expansions you have, I have base, prosperity, cornucopia and dark ages!

If you are willing to pay for enough sleeves, you could use this method to sleeve everything without it getting tedious.  Just have players sleeve cards for you as they play.
