He tried Forager/Treasure Map right away. He did eventually hit the TMs turn 10.
Menagerie engine for me helped along by trashing with Forager and gaining lots of Menageries and other cheap cards with Armory. Building a cheap-o engine with Armory, Ironworks, or Workshop has been one of my favorite things to do recently. Armory-Death Cart is kind of nice, too.
Also, I don't think I've had a turn that's activated quite so many Menageries before. Turn 13 I played Menagerie 5 different times successfully. The last of those times I had nine (!) unique cards in hand.

At one point I was hoping to Armory two Treasure Maps to the top of the deck; however, the combo never lined up, and I didn't need the money anyway. A straight up Menagerie engine worked out better.
