I like how quickly this got derailed into a discussion on accents. That's what, one post on the OP's actual content?

Which was the post that derailed it...

It was literally the first reply to the thread.

Northeastern This could either mean an r-less NYC or Providence accent or one from Jersey which doesn't sound the same.  Just because you got this result doesn't mean you don`t pronounce R's.(People in Jersey don`t call their state "Joisey" in real life)

I'm British, but abusing the test seems to be a thing here.  It picked up the non-rhotic bit I guess.

Can't find a similar UK test.  It's usually pretty easy to pin people down if you hear them speaking, so I'd imagine a reasonable test could be cobbled together.

Oh, that's incredible, it nailed me exactly.

Which American accent do you have?

My Results:

Northern You have a Northern accent.  That could either be the Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland/Buffalo accent (easily recognizable) or the Western New England accent that news networks go for.

Same result here, except for nailing me 'exactly', but how could it have? :)

Sorry for derailing your thread, Schlippy! Theory, split topics, perhaps?

Neutral! Which is exactly what I was expecting, I've been told as much by a lot of people. I've always lived on the west coast though.

And I say "bay gull" and mercilessly tease people who say "baggle." :P

@content:

The IGG-Duchy-Duke game (#5): I don't like the Caravan here in the first shuffle (and wouldn't have liked it later either).  In the beginning, there is Oracle, which is probably better both instantly and more so in the long run if you plan to go slogging.  In T3, given you don't have any other terminal and don't plan to buy some there would be also Nomad Camp which is probably marginally better than Silver, mostly because you can play it next turn already and don't need to wait for the reshuffle, and could help at some lucky $7 with Duchy/Estate.

We could continue the accent discussion here.

I personally think I should have picked up a Nomad Camp with my starting 4.
