I would blame everything to adventures.  The list just highlights the cards that relative to the total number of cards in its sets come up most/less often.

Can't you eliminate the adventures by knowing the names of the bot opponents?

Probably.  But they are not in the database.  And I don't know the names.

That something is wrong. The deviations should not be that big for such a sample size (the largest deviations should be below 10% for the expansion cards and even less, below 5%, for the base set cards), but like DStu pointed out the Adventures probably mess up everything. Hence, no conclusions can be drawn.

Also, there's no guarantee that these are from randomly selected sets. People playing casual or unrated could be choosing to use or not use cards they like/don't like. I don't even know what fraction of games on goko are actually chosen randomly - it might be pretty low.

Yeah its hard to say unless we filter somehow, without the logs giving us HOW the games were set up (Pro, Casual,Picked Set,Adventure), though at least you can filter out adventures if you work out bot names...

is there a way of eliminating all games with starting hands different than 7 coppers + 3 estates? That would get rid of (almost) all the adventures, without having to know all the names of adventure bots from Serf Alicia to Overlord Hogan.

Of course there is, the question is 'is it worth it?'.  I had the database for other purposes and could just query it.  I would need to build a new one which tracks names/starting hands, or just drop these games before inserting them into the database.  But the casual games still remains, so that does not really answer the question on the uniformity of kingdoms, and I probably can't use the database for something else.

Also I guess it would lead to a huge underrepresentation of Dark Ages cards.

As several have mentioned, it's difficult to draw any conclusions from the data thanks to the adventures.  Just for S&G I went through the DA Act 1 adventures, checking the cards used in each.  Count and Armory, the two biggest outliers, are introduced late and are in fewer adventure kingdoms than anything but Vagrant.  Make of that what you will, but I'm certain the adventures are a big part of the problem.

Yeah, I also suspect the adventures have a higher number of villages than what normally might be seen.

Well, better than Valve Time.

They're both pretty darned mutable.  I believe both companies have had vaporware, as well as other things that are still Coming Soon that haven't materialized for 5 or 6 years.

Well, it's sad that we can't make jokes about Duke Nukem Forever anymore since it's been released.

From what I've heard of the game, there are still plenty of jokes to be made about it.

I enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever a lot, going into it having no expectations that it would be anything other than something to make me giggle.

I giggled.
