How to only use certain sets for Random Kingdoms?

If I have Base and Dark Ages, and wanted to create a game with a random kingdom that was only Dark Ages (no Base), how would I do this on Goko?

You can't. You have to manually select a DA only kingdom.

Now you can with my Firefox user script. In the latest version when the game is about to pick a random set you will see a pop up dialog, where you can choose the kingdom layout. Some examples:
'All' - all the cards available,
'Seaside' - only Seaside cards,
'Base set + Seaside' - only Base and seaside,
'Base set + 2 * Seaside' - same as above, but with Seaside cards 2 times as probable
'5 Base set, 5 Seaside' - 5 cards from each
'All / Alchemy' - no Alchemy Cards
'Chapel, Counterfeit, Horn of Plenty, Market Square, Moneylender, Remake, Swindler, Thief, Watchtower, Witch' - 10 specific cards
'Moat, 3 Attack, All' - include Moat and at least 3 attack cards.
'Moat, 3 Attack, All / Attack' - include Moat and exactly 3 attack cards.
I will put full description later.

It seems you should be getting some kick-backs from Goko for all these things you are doing to make their implementation better.
Dare I ask if you can write a script to set up auto-match?  ::)

Does this also work for pro games?

Install Greasemonkey if you don't already have it, then install Nutki's Greasemonkey script.

Nutki, perhaps you should put the link to your script in your signature to help people find it.

I would also like to know this. If it does, pro games could actually be more unfair than casual games.

No, only unranked and casual (including 'Play Bots').

what are some of the other current extensions/hacks to improve the goko experience? (WW's ratings or any goko councilroom efforts would be worth including as well.) it would be nice to see a quick post (or i can add it to the FAQ) with all of them organized into one place. maybe add info like where to find it, how to install it, what it does, and a quick review of its quality?

I just think it is sad that Goko has been up since September, and it took a forum member to implement what should have beens something easy for Goko to do.

Chrome has the log and point counter extensions. Is there a log extension for Firefox? It would suck to have the two best extensions split between platforms.

Where do I get the point counter script for Chrome?

Here is the complete manual: http://dom.retrobox.eu/kingdomgenerator.html. The next version of the script will include a better prompt for the generator expression that includes a link to this page.

I see there is a lot of confusion about the extension. As people mentioned above there is really only one extension and the main version is the Firefox Grease monkey user script, the Chrome extension is base on the same code, but usually few versions behind (and does not have the kingdom generator yet).

I think we should have a new pinned post in this sub-forum. It is hard to find the information in the current one and its title and the contents of the first post are confusing.
Here is the full list of the features (in order of appearance):
* Off-line log prettifier using dom.retrobox.eu (does not need the extension really, but the log link at the game end is patched if you use it).
* Side panel colored log.
* Custom avatars.
* Point tracking.
* Remembering the title of the last game (normally it is changed to "X's game" each time you open the create game dialog).
* Kingdom generator.

Wait, what? :o Remembering the title of the last game is a feature of your script? I thought Goko finally implemented this; I didn't realize it was the extension...  It's a nice feature!

Is there a way to force kingdom generator into including/not including Colonies & Platinum or Shelters?

My guess since it is for casual games you can select Colonies and Shelters if you like. But, I guess Nutki knows a little more.

The script doesn't accept Platinum as an argument, but the usual check box for forcing Platinum and Colony is still available.

You could force Colonies/Plat by selecting an all-Prosperity kingdom.  Similarly, go all-DA for Shelters.  And you can omit all Prosperity/DA cards for the opposite.

...unless Goko doesn't randomize it that way?

/useless advice

Colony and Shelters are randomized according to the standard rules after a kingdom is generated. Of course it is possible still to overrule it with the check boxes, but there is no way to force it in the expression, so you have to do it each time.
I considered such feature, but since goko implemented the correct rule now and that would require overriding another game API, I left it as is.
