Just thought I'd open things up to get the ball rolling. I'm not going to give too much away just yet, but I'll gradually add rules as we get closer to launching. I think it should be pretty awesome.

Those pesky mobsters are up to no good again. But this time around, they've recruited a pack of Monsters to attack the Town for them. Each day, the Town will be confronted by a different Monster, and will have the chance to try to defeat it. Failure to do so will result in dire consequences, and who knows? The Monster might just be guarding some sort of reward.

The Town will have a hard time defeating any of the Monsters without help from the Mafia, so the question is: will the Mafia help to defeat the Monsters, or will they sabotage the fight and let the Monsters run rampant?

FYI, this game has been on the very back of my mind for quite some time. I'm still planning on running it, and can have it up and going in a couple of days if necessary, but am also happy to have it dormant for a while and get it going in a couple of months. Either way is fine, and I'm happy for other games to leapfrog if they're getting more interest. But I still do think I have a really cool idea that people will enjoy.

What's holding me back from joining this is (1) a desire to step back from role madness until having gone through at least one "normal" game, and (2) the possibility of Modern Community starting soon, with my need to be in only one game at a time.

I will say that I remember very, very little from the QT. If you think that is enough, combined with the fact that I haven't looked at it in months and will not look at it--although to be safe, Jimmmm should just delete everything from it so I don't accidentally stumble into it--I would be willing to play.

But if not, I completely understand. But as a point in my favor I do have a history of integrity, coming clean in B2B mafia after seeing something I shouldn't have in one of shraeye's speccy's that would have aided me in winning the game had I kept it a secret. (shraeye ended up needing to restart the game because of it) But if anyone doesn't feel comfortable with me in the game, I am perfectly fine not playing. Just a suggestion on my part.

As your confirmation, each player is asked to PM me the name of some sort of character found in popular culture. This will be your flavour character, and will be completely independent of alignment and role. The character must have some way to fight monsters and other characters. If multiple people name the same character it will be first in first served, and I reserve the right to ask you to choose a new character or assign you a character of my own choosing without providing a reason.
