My Spring Break is this week.  Usually I don't have trouble entertaining myself, but I do.  My forum games are moving slowly.  I like innovation.isotropic, i really do, but it's not all that much fun when I play against people way below my level, it is often hard to find good opponents.  When someone just lets you achieve 1-6 while they do nothing but durdle it can be pretty much solitaire.

I got sloshed at a great party with my friends last night, and might do one or two other social things this week, but I am still at least somewhat in need of a time sink.  I wish I had a girlfriend, I've heard those are fantastic time sinks.

I have Netflix, for reference, if anyone knows some awesome animes or tv shows I could watch.  It can be hard to match tastes though.  I've already watched Firefly, but if you just ignored this sentence and suggested I watch Firefly anyway, I'll probably +respect your post.

This somewhat of a whiny and useless post maybe but I hope that's okay in GD

Aww, I found Flash Forward super interesting in the questions it raised.

And Heroes was great, although it kind of got worse and worse in each subsequent season.

Flash Forward was decent, more than decent at times, painful some of the time... but the fact that it only got one season I think kills it. I liked the show, and I wanted to see where it went, but as it stands I don't think it's a super compelling season of television. I was rooting for it to get renewed, but alas.

Heroes, on the other hand, is indefensible

I just started watching Touch, didn't even know it was in second season.  It's likable enough! I really like the the Good Wife, walking Dead is not bad, and Breaking Bad, and Sons of Anarchy as a guilty pleasure.  Oh and can't miss with Sunny!

To me, s1 of Touch is very interesting.  However, it doesn't feel like the story is going anywhere.  Each episode itself is kind of stand-alone, and the fact that every episode features a cadre of one-off characters just re-enforces that feeling.  I find the episodes interesting because they tell stories of how lives intersect.  I find that compelling.  In that way, it reminds me a bit of Cloud Atlas.  Just a bit.

Season 2 is nice in that Things are actually happening now.  There is a real plot with real stakes!  So that is good.

Other shows that I liked that ended up prematurely cancelled include V and Awake.  The latter was another neat concept.  I did not like the way they ended s1 though, knowing that there wouldn't be any more.  If s2 were coming, I'd be OK with it.

A thousand times this.  Love the show so much and happen to look near enough to the main character that hes the only one who I've cosplayed to conventions as.

Also, write poems or short stories. It's fun, it's a time sink and you'll become a better writer, too (I'm not implying that you need it or anything, it's just never a bad thing).

V was awesome.  The cut-off ending sucked, of course.  Baccarin rocks.

I love the Stargate franchise and have seen all 17 seasons.

Rev is cool, but not engrossing like Lost was.  Buffy+Angel would kill some time.
