If you play an outpost while being possessed, you draw three cards at the end of your turn because the card said so.  You take an extra turn after this one if it wouldn't cause you to take more than 2 consecutive turns.  The outpost turn allows you to make your own decisions.

It doesn't really seem weird to me..

I don't! Even at the heyday, I would lurk through role madness and bastard games. I tried to project a range of commitment levels, so that my post count could never indicate my alignment. But it was really hard at times. Things have died down now, though.

I think there was a point where M-VIII, M-IX, M-X, and several RM games were all going at once. It was tough.

I have the game irl (and people to play it with), I don't want to pay for something I already own.  I do still think they should make it that you have to pay for it though, they need the money to run.  I just don't want to waste the money.
