This line should rhyme. "I couldn't read one mor'f'em?"  Maybe you'd have to rhyme with something other than forum.

I maintain that in the original song, "doorstep" does not rhyme with "step." And I just can't think of anything for it...

That's funny... maybe it's just the way he emphasizes the syllables, but I never even realized that he was rhyming "doorstep" with "more step". It always just sounded like a bad attempt to rhyme "doorstep" with "step."
