The day Dominion died

With apologies to Don McClean.

A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that website used to make me smile
And, if I had a minute to kill, I could go there for a thrill and...
Maybe I'd be happy for a while
But, Goko made me shiver with every bug report I'd deliver
Bad news on the forum - I couldn't read one more post
I can't remember if I cried when I read that Doug Z had complied
Something touched me deep inside the day Dominion died

So, bye bye Isotropic, goodbye
We would pay just to play but we can't so we cry
Them forum boys are wishing it were a lie, singing...
This'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

Thanks for everything, Doug!

*Also please note I intend this to be an homage to Isotropic, not a complaint about Goko.

This line should rhyme. "I couldn't read one mor'f'em?"  :-\ Maybe you'd have to rhyme with something other than forum.

Did you play in veto mode, or in just text; no images to load?
Now the chance has gone away...

I maintain that in the original song, "doorstep" does not rhyme with "step." :P And I just can't think of anything for it... :-[

No, but "doorstep" DOES rhyme with "more step", fortunately.  ;D

That's funny... maybe it's just the way he emphasizes the syllables, but I never even realized that he was rhyming "doorstep" with "more step". It always just sounded like a bad attempt to rhyme "doorstep" with "step."
