You are not gaining it. I believe it visits the trash pile, yes.

Based on the faq, it appears that it does "visit" the trash pile since the faq says

If this is trashed, you take it from the trash and put it into your hand

but I'm not sure, though I don't think any other card currently cares whether it visits the trash pile or not so it doesn't matter.

You aren't gaining it; it does visit the trash.

For Trader, it could just be, resolve Trader for the possessed player, then resolve Possession's when-would-gain, then resolve Trader for the possessing player. There's no point to being able to order the first Trader after Possession.

I'm glad that your proposed solution is what I told them to do.  There are only two "would gain" cards in the whole game, and one ordering is pointless, so don't bother trying to create a UI to let the player choose between the ordering.

Right now in alpha there's a bug with Trader, which is that the current implementation is "Possessee would gain" -> "Possessor gains", when it should be "Possessee would gain" -> "Possessor would gain" -> "Possessor gains".  But that should be fixed before the beta release.

Looking at the cards, I would say:

- Fortress does visit the Trash pile.  It says, "When you trash this", not "when you would trash this".
- When you put Fortress back in your hand, you are not gaining it.  It says "put it into your hand", not "gain it from the trash to your hand".

The decision that onigame mentions comes out of Possession.  When you trash a card while Possessed, it gets set aside until the end of the turn.  So when you trash Fortress, you can choose between setting it aside or putting it into your hand.  Resolving one effect means the other does not occur (due to lose track rule, I believe).  This can make a difference in cases where you might not want to have Fortress in your hand, e.g. Menagerie, Library.

Again the situation here, to get a case where you would behave differently if only the program handled it, is:

- You Possess someone.
- During that turn you draw a Fortress and a way to trash it and trash the Fortress.
- You have at least one action remaining after that.
- You have a card in hand that could make you not want the Fortress - Menagerie, Library/Jack/Watchtower.
- As it happens in this situation you really do not want the Fortress.

This seems sufficiently rare to put off.

Goko has slowed down it seems since mid-Jan or so. They were doing good with updates and now, all of a sudden, nothing seems to be happening.

There is another post on their somewhere that JQS said its gonna be coming out late this week to closed beta for people who pre bought Alchemy and a few days after that it'll release to the gen pop.

Possession is up. Seems to work fine, however, there is no toggle option to look and see what cards are in your hand while you are possessing someone else. You just see your opponents hand.

The transition to your opponent's hand is kind of... awkward.  I feel like the whole thing should flash a different color or something.

It switches back but thats even clunkier because it leaves your opponents photo where yours should be.
