Fairgrounds + Black Market

I saw the Fairgrounds + Black Market combo in the set up and realised that envoy/smithy/rabble would all essentially fulfill the same roll for me allowing me to diversify whilst still setting up a village/draw engine.
I managed to get 28 different cards in the end!

This is the first time I've ever won with fairgrounds, and only the second game I remember buying any in...
Thoughts?

Your early Outpost gave you a virtual +buy where you could add to your types of cards and cards to support your engine - Outpost appeared to boost the Fairgrounds strategy for you.

Fishing Village is really what made this possible - otherwise you'll be starving for actions, even with a different village.
