Ashersky, obviously it's been what a couple of hours? Robz is in his conference and Jimmm said he'd be gone too. Obviously not posting doesn't exactly give you any town points, but I don't think anyone is really lurking in this game.

Yep.  I didn't vote them, just pointing it out.  I honestly forgot about Robz's conference.  Jimmmmmm works the late shift, too, I think, so that makes sense that he's here.

Whenever Insom rolls scum, the first thing he posts in the QT is that he will bus you if you give him reason to.

Scum!Ins does nothing but vote his teammates. Recall ZM-VI (I'm still frustrated with that Robz! Big meanie!)? He never made a case for, or voted on, anybody but Munch/Shraeye.

Now, did he get caught? Sure. But not for that reason, and scum still won. What's more, is we won't know the truth until the game is over, so "repeating the play" isn't a dead scum!Ins tell.

But don't think for a moment that he wouldn't do it.

Well I can say this much: I still think I'm terrible at reading people. It's funny how everything seems so damn obvious when you know everyone's alignments but now I'm just in the dark on everyone again. Have to get back into the reading and suspecting mindset rather than the making stuff up and hoping people buy it mindset.

Going to have a look at ash and try to answer Eevee's question.

I'd say we are not lynching anyone before the deadline actually starts to death near, unless we all somehow get online at the same time and hash everything out early. I dont really see this town stalling (with multiple people online, obviously slower moments when no one is around). I think there is still a lot to comment to a lot of people, and the destroyed lynch is not a slam dunk AT ALL. Fos for even suggesting that.

My main impression of ash is that he's trying (maybe subconsciously?) to use the fact that he's been modding these games to get, not necessarily Town-cred, but knowledge-cred, if that makes sense? Like this gives him more insight in how to read people and pick out scum. I'm not saying it doesn't, I haven't modded myself, but that's the impression I'm getting. Of course, he could just as easily be doing that as Town as as scum.

Not really sure what to make of ash making a scumteam prediction. I mean, he's mostly saying "I'm going to say this now in case I happen to be right so then I'll look awesome after the game." So it's not a particularly strong accusation.

I think probably the reason most people would do this that early in the game as Town would be to gauge people's reaction to it. I think when doing this sort of thing as scum, the general formula is to call out two Towns and one scum. Well that's what I did anyway. Of course, that could mean he could deliberately avoid doing that.

I think my main concern about ash is his supposed plan for scum to successfully claim. I really don't see it. It's not that complicated a game, either, there are what, 5 different possible gamestates:

1) Day 1. We all know fakeclaiming here is doomed to fail.
2) Day 2 after a scum lynch and a Mason vengekill. Again, doomed to fail.
3) Day 2 after a scum lynch and a VT vengekill. Just as doomed.
4) Day 2 after a Town lynch. Well, Town's at lylo here so claiming puts scum at "50%", but we all know that.
5) Day 3. Again at lylo, so again "50%".

tl;dr fakeclaiming is doomed to fail unless Town is at lylo, in which case it's "50%". But that's not news to anyone.

Maybe I should go back and read the QTs as ash has suggested, but unless I've (and everyone else except ash) missed something, it just sort of seems like he's trying to stir us.

Well it was not much of a surprise to wake up today and see that two of my top scum reads had voted for me. Apparently they didn't like what I was saying.

Dsell voted for me, only saying that he was "ok" with voting me, but really doesn't say why. Also it seems like there is a lot of agreeing going on between Dsell and Eevee. Considering that they have the same scum reads that contradict mine, ashes, galvs and insom(?)'s that is mighty suspicious. They are either mason pair (extremely unlikely based on their voting so far) or scum pair. I wont go so far as to say that everyone on me is scum, but it is more than likely that at least 2 are, if galv is assumed to be town.

Eevee claiming that he is town proves nothing obviously, as he would respond that way no matter his role. He's still my second top scum read atm.

a heads up I will NOT be able to be around at the deadline, staff christmas party today that requires some travelling at 3pm my time so I will be dissapearing around 6pm forum time.

I will be leaving in the next hour, probably very close to 11:30 forum time, and will be gone several hours.  I could return as late as 6:00, though I doubt I will be gone THAT long.  I will be back WELL before the deadline, and the thread will have my undivided attention.
