I don't see any benifit to claiming unless the mason is about to get lynched. Since there are no night kills besides Vengkill, it would be better to have them stay in the dark to avoid getting vengkilled.

Because if no masons claim today and we lynch a townie, then the mafia may claim masons tomorrow and we will be forced to choose between the real masons and the mafia, and that is a bad spot to be in. If we pick right, we win, if we pick wrong, we lose.

I'm sorry! It's true though. As long as one of the masons claims today, they will be ICs tomorrow. There is no need for them to worry about not being believed.
