[2012] Best Newbie

Young Nick
Winning a Flawless scum victory against some good vets in MVII

eHalcyon
epic jailkeeps in M3

Glooble from MIV
He was just an all-around pro, did not seem like a first timer at all. I was worried about how he might act some early on, and that his inexperience might do him in, but no. He could talk-or lurk-his way out of anything.

Pingpongsam, Mafia VI
Highly strategic Doctoring

So hard, these were all awesome plays.

YN played so good, IIRC even spec's didn't suspect him. Very good.

eHalc, IIRC, made some completely crazy and "out-there" jailkeeper play which turned out to be the ONLY possible way for town to win. Also had epic breadcrumb :P

Gloob - he was on the line often, every time got away with it. Fakeclaimed, got away. Even fooled jo :D

PPS - he saved Galz, he saved me, he gave ehalc signals that he is doc.. PERFECT.

Very hard to choose, probably PPS.

PPS, to go with his spectacular Doctoring in his first game, absolutely deserved this recognition. Although I demand that Raerae be counted on the ballot for next year, and not forgotten.

Faust has also been incredibly stubborn this game. In other news, it's hot in the summer, and water falls from the sky when it rains.

Agreed on both counts.

It's probably obvious that I nominated Glooble here, but I will reiterate how very impressed I was with his play in MIV.

PPS did a really incredible job, too, as did the other candidates, here, really.

If M1 counted, TINAS could easily be included in this category too.

This was a tough category to nominate for... I mean I wanted to nominate Galz for his work in MII, but that was just sooo early in f.ds mafia history that it seemed weird to give the nomination to someone that was playing against a bunch of other newbies.

But in that vein, PPS coming in as a new player against some great vets was remarkable. I am hoping fds mafia continue--and has new players--enough through next year to see what this category brings.
