Is the middle space strictly better than all the others?

The estimated value of the first turn center space is certainly the highest.

I see commonalities here, is this a DXV game?  Given first player advantage, is there some sort of bidding process to obtain first player position?  My boast:

Given enough monkeys and enough typewriters, I can teach a chicken to play this game, while juggling (me juggling, not the chicken.)

I can do that <b>With Drunk Chickens, while standing on my head reciting the entire Odyssey and Illiad, backwards, in Greek<b>.

Then I yield, good sir, in deference to your (strictly?) superior abilities. Pray cast the first mark, and may the gods below grant me the luck needed to force a draw. 

(FWIW, the chickens being drunk is what got you there.  Drunk chickens are almost as funny as drunk ravens.)

I DID go back and edit to fix the problem in my original post, however the issue will persist if anybody quotes SFS quoting me.
