Very close. Hmm, I realize now that the criteria I had in mind can probably be slightly rewarded close to what you're thinking without changing the list of cards at all. That's kind of annoying. But given the criteria the way you word it, there are at least a couple other cards that meet your criteria, which are the honorable mentions by my criteria.

So my original thought was "cards that when played could draw exactly 3 cards, resulting in a net hand-size of 2 more." (Subtracting 1 for the played card.) Cards that normally draw more than that could still draw only that if your deck/discard only has 3 cards in it. But I realized after jomini's post that the criteria could also just be "at least 3 cards" instead of "exactly 3 cards" without changing the list of cards at all.

The 3 honorable mentions can increase your hand-size by exactly 2, but the cards don't come from drawing. Beggar of course only works if there's only 2 Coppers left in the supply.Minion is the trickiest, because it needs to be the last card in your hand, as well as only having 3 cards in your draw/discard.

The * in the "correct" is because the honorable mentions need to put 2 cards in your hand, not 3, in order to fit.

I believe also the often-neglected Black      Market.

Play Black Market.  Buy a Farmland.  Trash a Rats and gain a Border Village, gaining a Cultist which you trash using Watchtower. 

Or just buy the Cultist from the Black Market and trash it, if you're a sissy.

Not at all. If you count Black Market you'd have to count Lookout and Golem and King's Court and.... Black Market doesn't increase your handsize at all. That's Cultist increasing your handsize, and not by being played, so it's not relevant to the question.

Agreed. Cultist could be considered an honorable mention, but in a completely different category than my honorable mentions.

Beggar doesn't need only 2 coppers left in pile - start with a 5 card hand. Play beggar (4 cards), gain three coppers (7 coppers)

Also, why aren't Tactician and Wharf at least an honorable mentions? A double Tac deck with 8 total cards means that you increase hand size by 2 likewise, wharf always gives a net +2 cards from its durationess. Going a bit further we can look at Golem/moat where playing the moat results in straight up +2 cards as it wasn't in your hand.

Beggar doesn't need only 2 coppers left in pile - start with a 5 card hand. Play beggar (4 cards), gain three coppers (7 coppers)

Also, why aren't Tactician and Wharf at least an honorable mentions? Oops, my bad on the Beggar. Having only played with it once; I was confusing the reaction with the action and thinking you didn't play it to gain 3 Coppers.

As for durations in general, no reason they couldn't be considered honorable mentions I suppose. My criteria was specific to what happens when you play the card; my honorable mentions were things that put things in your hand without drawing them. I'd say considering Golem + Moat is  a stretch; Moat itself doesn't draw enough cards to qualify. The only reason I talk about hand size instead of "cards that can draw 3 cards" is to avoid including Warehouse, Celler, etc.

Oh, yeah, that's true.  Lookout and bunches of the trashers are on the list, too.
