Are all of those votes on Frisk still from when he claimed Jester??? That was pure RVS silliness.

No, they're mostly about thoughts that his push for claiming was rolefishy.

Though I thought I unvoted. I guess it wasn't clear that "No lunch" was "no lynch"

Vote: Dsell

Something's off about him. Not playing as carefully as I'm used to with town-Dsell.

I think he's being very question-y. Kind of a nervous driver of conversation.

I'm openly in favor of the Dsell lynch, if we might as well lynch someone.

This all seems very nebulous against me. I've tried to make conversation happen, yes, but I'm not nervous, nor do I know what makes me look this way. I'm not feeling as 100% invested in this game as some of my others recently, but I'd still like to contribute and this'll probably be exciting down the road (which always makes me want to get really involved).

So I actually have a mild scum read on Dsell.

It looks to me like he's really trying to be "Mr. Helpful." He's doing a fair amount of leading the town, for one thing. A couple pages back he was defending someone, I can't remember who, but I think it might have been cayvie, and it just felt fake to me.

Also, on the last page, he agreed with Eevee calling Joth his major scumread, but then Eevee clarified that he made a mistype, and Joth was actually his major townread (which I sort of agree with, fwiw). I think this might have just been unlucky for Dsell, but if someone jumps on a case that then turns out be a mistype, well, that doesn't reflect well on the jumper.

I don't know. This is far from rock solid. It's little more than a hunch I guess. But in a game where almost nothing has stood out to me, I'm definitely getting a bad vibe from exactly one player.

So, Vote: Dsell, actually.

Can only speak for myself.

Btw, when I say joth is a "major" town read, I mean "major" in the context of this game. It's not actually objectively that major, all my other reads here are just so nonexistent it looks major in comparison.

There is a huge gulf between sheeping and agreeing. I am still baffled by where this town vibe Eevee's getting is coming from!

Why do you take such issue with it? Do you think Eevee is scum calling his scummate townie?

I don't take issue but it does confuse me. It's also the single thing that's getting me in hot water here and it keeps coming up. I just happened to agree with Eevee's first statement a lot more than his corrected one, at least based on recent posts from Jo.

No, they're mostly about thoughts that his push for claiming was rolefishy.

So this is two examples in a row of Dsell not really knowing what's going on and posting anyway. Which stood out to me. Is it a scum tell? Hard to say. I tend to pay more attention as scum (I've been scum all of once).

Also, as to the second quote, wanting to know why votes are on someone when it's not apparent is a very scum thing. Town wants to know the case so that if it's good they can join it. Scum wants to know the case on a partner so that if it's bad they can shut it down. Look at the way Dsell words that question. "Whoa, all these votes on Frisk, that's so silly, get them off now."

Add to that, of course, the fact that his assessment of said votes is not only erroneous, but obviously so.

That means if I'm right and Dsell is scum, Frisk is a likely partner.

I will be playing Base tonight, although if we lynch Dsell and he flips scum I'll be sorely tempted to play Prosperity instead.

K guys...you KNOW how I play as scum because I've drawn scum a lot. I tend to be a pretty careful player and that's doubly true as scum. Well, at the beginning of this game there was another game going on that was more important than day 1 here. I might be guilty of not paying enough attention to this game, but I'm not guilty of being mafia.

I really like Role Madness games and I think I'm pretty valuable when it comes to piecing together the logic puzzle towards the end of the game. It would suck bad to be lynched day one, especially if it's because of a crap case like this. I will pay closer attention to this game from now on because this behavior is getting me in trouble. However, if I could point to my play in two other Role Madness games (RMM3 and BMV), I think you'd see that the start of day one is just not my thing. I lay back (and usually don't follow really closely, tbh) until there's enough info to get some decent reads from. In both of those games, I ended up building cases on scum later in the day. Here, though, not much has been happening. Those other games were really active, so others were giving me the info I needed to build a case. But without much happening here, I've felt compelled to try to generate some discussion, even though I haven't been following the game as closely as I should have. I'm sorry that I haven't yet given this game the thought requisite to strong play, and I will be sure I'm up to speed before posting from now on. But don't lynch me for this day one.

But see, I actually think you've been more active here, and more talkative, than virtually anyone else. And I ask myself, why is that, you know? You're generally a mid-level activity person, in my book. Here, you've kinda been the leader.

I think I explained that, clearly. There's usually plenty of other activity that I don't need to be the leader. Here, we have just 12 pages a couple days from the deadline (and the original deadline was earlier!). That's hardly enough info to get good reads. I'm trying to create discussion because a lot of the typical discussion leaders just aren't. I think the setclaim, while probably a fine pursuit for scumhunting on later days, has really slowed us down today. Nothing is happening, and how are we supposed to develop reads when nothing is happening? So I try to make things happen and foster discussion. I'm apparently not cut out for it.
