It turns out I totally misinterpreted things.. our presentation today was supposed to be a rough draft. The accompanying papers aren't due for another week and a half. I give the real presentation on Tuesday, apparently.
Also, my teacher is not, as I thought, such a broadly learned professor of mathematics that he knew every nuance of cryptography and would catch me on the slightest error. He had never heard of SRA, and was skeptical of my claim that I would be able to receive messages from people without telling them secret information like p and q 0.0
John's presentation didn't even have any math.
I knew twice as much cryptography as the rest of the room combined.
That was a bizarre experience.
OK, first, lol at you for making that mistake, but second, awesome because now you have a week plus to digest all of that and make it look great! Also, you know RSA is a great topic, and you know more about it than the whole rest of your class. Score!
