Recursive Victory Solution?

I think that a recursive victory card is, in a way, possible. I was thinking hard about it, and I think I came up with the solution:

Orchard
Cost: 5
Victory

Worth 1 VP per Apple card in your deck.

When you gain this, gain a Apple

Apple
Cost: 0*
Action

+1 Action

This card is not in the supply, and doesn't count as an empty supply pile.

'Apple' is a Ruined Village.

The problem with a recursive victory, is it scales too quickly, and if you don't get enough, you overpaid. But what if it junks your deck twice as fast as a normal victory cards? I have no idea if it would work, but I think it would.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure about the mechanic.  It might work.

I am... not so fond of the theme.  I'm sure you mean it innocently and I know it can be used innocently but still... yeah. :P

Hm yeah, I didnt think of it that way.

I just thought: Plantation grows a lot of the same crop, and a worker works on it.

I can definitally re-theme it if anyone takes offence.

Plantations are relatively more modern anyway, right?

Also, given how the extra card is relatively worthless, why name them Worker?

My theme suggestion would be Orchard and Apple.

You could even go farther with this by making Worker/Apple a useful card that's trashed on use. I think that could cause some interesting strategic choices.

Something like

Plantation
Cost: 5
Victory

Worth 1 VP per Worker card in your deck.

When you gain this, gain a Worker

Worker
Cost: 0*
Action

+$3
+1 Buy

Trash this card.
--------------
This card is not in the supply, and doesn't count as an empty supply pile.

Or any such similar bonus. I can't tell if it would be a cool strategic decision or just straight up anti-synergy though.

This word... "recursive"... I do not think it means what you think it means.

Yes I see what you mean, but in a way it does count itself because when you gain a Plantation you gain a Worker.

But for counting itself, it doesnt.

Recursive VP Card:

Recursion - Action / Victory

4 VP - Recursion is worth one less VP (no minimum) for every 2 recursions in your deck at the end of the game. [that's not the recursive part, that's just an attempt at making it all viable]

------------------------------

Gain a Recursion, placing it in your hand.

If you have a Recursion in your hand, you must now play it.

***********************************************

I think that's about right?
