The quickhammer put town in a good position info-wise

But it didn't!  It made you look scummy!  That is not a good position info-wise!

Based on S&U's last 10 posts or so, scum is either Doduo/S&U, in which case Doduo gets MVP for sounding so damn townie, or scum is Dent/Durden, in which case Doduo is MVP for sounding so damn townie.

Vote: Dent

This post makes me so happy. :')

Finally breaking the meta of looking a little scummy always no matter what.

@Volt: I maintain my quickhammering in MXIV was a solid play because I did it to try to save Eevee.

Yeah, you had clear, setup-driven reasons for that quickhammer AND you made concerted effort to explain yourself afterwards.  That was definitely a different situation.

Shrug no way of knowing that and you saying whether you did or not would be bad. But yea the mafia only get to curse once so you can always hammer with an uncursed hider.

I'm really looking forward to reading all the QTs. All you mini-gamers, hurry and make your guesses! (I guessed Aggron right but haven't guessed at all since then.)

Didn't guess on Aggron, Guessed 100% wrong on Smeagol. Don't really care to guess the rest as most of it is in the open now.

The quickhammer put town in a good position info-wise

But it didn't!  It made you look scummy!  That is not a good position info-wise!

But I was the cop, so not scum.  And looking sort of scummy while a PR is a thing, and my thing for sure, to keep from being the NK target.

This is a really hard balancing act to get right.  You are not the first to go too far in the "looking sort of scummy" direction, and I am sure you won't be the last.

And ironically, according to shraeye you WERE probably going to be the NK target!

Personally, I think I want to lynch Dent. It's really close though. But every time I go back and read the events, I see this:

Durden/Dent thought that Dent was the obvious choice for Investigation last night after that hammer. They decide he's going to claim Cop,

They opened the day asking if the Cop should claim.

Before anybody could reasons, Doduo claimed Durden was scum.

Ashersky went "Oh shit, I need to claim"

Ashersky made some pretty bad arguments about mislynching.

O took over and started admonishing Ashersky for being hotheaded, since the whole point to the fake claim was to hide the second scum AND give scum a way to win straight out. Now if they failed to win today, they failed to win period..

The internal struggle between heads on Dent is what really tips it for me.  It sounded like they planned to claim first, forcing the real Cop to counter - but when Doduo jumped out and claimed, Ashersky made a snap decision without thinking about the consequences. O got angry at him (probably rightfully so if this is indeed an accurate storyline).

For me personally, the biggest thing I don't like about Dent's posts overall was his lack of offering up his role as a reason to hammer Smeagol. I'm not saying lynching town is ever good - but when asked "Why didn't you wait for him to claim", as the Cop your answer should be pretty straight forward "Because I knew he couldn't be the only PR left, so there was nothing for him to claim". Dent never offered that, and that, to me, would've been the only acceptable town reason to "derphammer".

This is soooooooooooooooo bad. "They didn't think of this one niche reasoning that I had thought of, so they must be scum".

No. Hammering a townie at that point is also pretty goddamn bad. And Ashersky could have still waited and had the advantage of KNOWING he was scum if he claimed a PR.
