Okay, so after seeing the new DA cards, I have been thinking about various setups I would like to play. So far, my dream set up is this.

Colony/Platinum: Yes

1) $1: Poor House
2) $2: Squire
3) $2P: Scrying Pool
4) $3: Fishing Village
5) $4: Rats
6) $5 Mountebank
7) $5 Cultist
$5 Graverobber
9) $6 Goons
10) $7 King's Court

So, what are some kingdoms that you thought of that you are dying to try?

Poor House is going to be terrible.  Your only Treasure trasher is Rats, and Mountebank is in play.

squire gets you scrying pool and scrying pool gets you infinity rats.

Interesting, I think rats-without-other-trashing might actually work on an sp board with mountebank.  If sp is your draw it's almost ok to have crummy actions, the only thing it affects is your starting hand.  Rats can give you a boom of trashing and cantriping in the begging for scrying pool to start, then if you don't need to trash badly don't play it.

Plus whatever.  Fun and strong.

Chapel was already amazing, but now it's power level has gone through the roof!

I want to see if rats/remake/duke is a strategy

I would doubt it. Seems like your deck would be too unweildy with a bunch of duchies in it to consistently match up rats with remakes.

A hand of like, Rats, Rats, Duke, Duchy, Silver seems like it wouldn't be unusual and, like, what do you do there? You could do nothing. You could play a rat, but then you'd have to either trash a silver or what you drew... and then even if you draw a ermake, you'd only have rats, duke, duchy, remake in hand, so you'd have to trash a duke or duchy to gain a gold in addition to trashing the rats to gain back your duchy/duke.

I would say that rat/remake/duke seems more plausible if you stick it in a draw engine to consistently match up your remakes with your rats, but keeping a draw engine going when it's clogged up with 6 duchies and a few dukes and rats that you can't play until you've matched them up with what you want seems like it would be pretty difficult, you'd stall pretty hard.

Double tactician?  Build for a bit then when it's hit its peak get remakes/rats and go for it.  Even takes the right kind of double tactician deck but it's feasible.

Personally, I think Upgrade Rats would be easier for a Rats/Duke strategy, but really, the strategy seems hard to pull off. Like the poster above mentioned, Double Tac could be pretty good at this. But, to be honest, I doubt I would ever do a Rats/Duke strategy. I would be to worried of a hand of Rats and Duchies.
