Mint/FG vs Swindler/Familiar

So, just beat opponent who played first w/ Mint/FG opening, and I'm pretty pleased. Caveats are:
-I hit 3P on turn 3 for familiar.
-I swindled an FG on turn 4.
-Opponent didnt draw FG w/ Mint on first shuffle.

Still, its a terrifying opening, and I was pretty pleased I was able to fight through it, and get his deck back to bloated and slow enough that I could get 5 provinces first.

I think swindler is terrifying for a Mint/FG player.  It's true that in the first shuffle you have a 50% chance of them hitting an estate.  But if they hit your mint, fg, or copper (in that order of badness) you're pretty sad: with such a small deck the effect of the dead card they introduce is gonna be pretty big.  I think it maybe would've been an even stronger attack to get two swindlers, and ignore familiar.

Thats fair. My thought process was that getting familiar would allow me to attack multiple times a turn, and that I'm be able to get stables pretty quickly which meant I didnt really want double swindler.
