DSELL, is pokemon rmm almost ready? The other rmmm may not last much longer. If not, careto swop and do mine next? (you can even co-mod mine if you like)

Pokemon RMM is getting close to being ready. Unfortunately, I've been busy and creating 10,000 abilities* is definitely taking time. I think I'm gonna take a couple hours this weekend and attempt to finish it up fully and then have it checked for balance. And then changing things around to try to ensure balance could take some time too. I could definitely be persuaded to swap, but I thought your game was a normal game?

Well technically, but then I classed the last one as normal as well...
It's about as normal as a game called MMMMM2 - Clash of the Ozles can be

How about I get back to you after the weekend? RMM3 definitely won't be over by then and I'm gonna try to finish the initial set up of the PRMM game. If I'm still a ways from being done I'll let you jump ahead!

Cool, yeah, RMM got at least a week left, so probably have plentyof time to finish yours.

Clearly you don't know about the Hamlet power that causes everyone to die all at once, ending the game immediately.

You know, in RMM1 before all the role-investigators and role-swapping came out in force I was thinking of claiming Hamlet and giving it some Shakespearian/Jester-like flavor.

Shakespeare Mafia?

DIBS

This will be the next game I mod.  It will be Role Madness.  13 players.

What's the etiquette these days?  Can I open a sign-up thread now, with the understanding that this probably won't start for a while?  I would like to solicit players' suggestions as to which Shakespeare play they'd like to reenact.  But I don't want to clutter this thread with that discussion.  On the other hand, I don't want to step on any toes/jump the queue for any other madness games (esp. Ozle's, which I am totally /in for despite my rage at the end of the first one).

EDIT:  And Pokemon Mafia, don't want to slow that down either!

I asked this same question, with no consensus, other than Robz is in.  Who's in "charge" of mafia anyway?

Romeo and Juliet!

Idk, no one is in charge of mafia, just do whatever you think works and if someone feels it didn't go right, he'll speak up.

We need a FG mod :D @Both of you, I think it is fine to open up in any amount of advance.

RMM4 thread is open for sign-ups for Shakespeare Role Madness: Now, Mods, Stand Up For Bastards!

It will be some time before the game launches, even if we get a full player roster, as I need to prepare the setup (and would like to consult with one or two back-up mods, if possible).

I think technically my game would be classed as RM, I just like to give them funny titles. This one is MMMMMM II - The Good, The Bad and the Ozle

I think we are pretty much running at 2 Regular games + one RM +  1 Other (Bastard, Blitz, etc).

I think its a good standard.

The trouble with opening sign ups several weeks before it runs  is that once people are signed up then they may be hesitant to join in other games, and they will get impatient.

Is there a reason why you need the sign up now, apart from when you have worked it out (Not the very least player numbers to get it balanced?)

I will be selecting source material based on players' preferences and then setting up the game based on the source material.  So, unlike other games, I can't make the setup until people have at least said what plays they'd be interested to see in action.  Which is why I made the sign-up thread.  After material is decided, there will be a time lag before the game itself starts (while the setup is prepared and, to the extent possible, balanced).

I don't quite understand your parenthetical comment?

If people /in and then get impatient and/or want to join another game, they are free to /out.  I won't be offended!

I see, looks like you are doing it the other way round to normal.
Usually a game is set up and checked for balanced and then people apply. So you know the numbers of players and skillset already.

if you are tailoring the game around those people that are signing up then it makes sense to have the sign up first.

I'll be happy to help if you need it, although my Shakespeare is probably nowhere near as good as others.
