Is There An Easy Way to Find In-Person Dominion Games?

Hey everyone, been playing for a couple months now after a friend got me and my wife hooked on it. Definitely enjoy playing online but I was curious if there is any published list of places to play in person. I see mention of gaming clubs and such throughout the forum but didn't see any structured post about this on the FAQs.

Figured I would plan ahead in case I don't really like the new online platform or in case I'm too cheap to pay.

And specifically I'm looking for people in the Philadelphia metro area. Thanks!

Meetup.com is (kind of) good for this sort of thing.

I occasionally went to the NY gaming meetups.  But the quality of the players is low.

I guess having friends who play games is the easiest way.

In the NYC area, the Nerd NYC events have much better players.  The meetup groups I've found to be more "social".  Of course, that was before I found BSW and Isotropic.  Average opposition against anyone who's only played in real life a few dozen / hundred times is not likely to be WW level.

They are good peoples, although I don't know if any other of them are dominion nuts.  Their recess days are always good fun.

I play with my family and teach my friends.  There was supposedly a dominion meetup at this one store this one time, but I showed up and no one was there.

Having 2000 games played is a burden really.  It's hard to have fun with my friends when I'm fluidly assembling engines and they're trying to learn to avoid terminal collision.  And I get bored with a reduced number of expansions.  But even if I were to buy more expansions, the skill gap would just get worse.

I really need to get some of my friends into playing iso so we can play fun IRL games.

I've gone to a couple Meetup-organized game nights. You won't always find other Dominion players there, but you will get plenty of opportunities to try different board and card games. Good way to try games before you buy. At one of them, there was a guy who had designed his own card game that was a little like Dominion, and it was fun because everyone playing was able to provide input and test out new rules as we were playing.
