Great Halls + Scouts = ????

I almost felt bad for my opponent, but I checked and he's got over 700 games logged (and a winning record to boot).

The funny part was that the only card that had any synergy with his setup was the one tribute I bought. I probably would have bought another or two had he not figured out the error of his ways.

Yeah! Scout/Great Hall is an awesome combination which draws like thousands of cards, but uff.... no money...  :'(

Well, the best possible companion card for great hall would be ironworks or gardens, wouldn't it?

And the best possible companion card for scout would be tournament.

So I'm not sure which you're referring to.

The best possible companion card for Scout is something that can trash a Scout for benefit.  Or possibly Ambassador, so you can give your opponent 9 Scouts.

I think Nobles and Harem are better for Scout than Great Hall is.
Still, if Scout only draws one card it's not that much better than simply having that card without Scout.
Scout's ability to dig 4 cards deep can seriously mess with reshuffles.

At least with Scout you can hope it's the VP cards that miss the reshuffle.

I actually think the best companion for Scout is Scrying Pool.  But any non-terminal action is good with the Pool around.

Nobles, Harem, and Vineyard are very occasionally alright too.   But Scout/Great Hall is usually just going to result in spinning your wheels.
