game with Stables. My plan is to get baron and use stables and to connect it with my estates. Where did I go wrong?

Where did I go wrong?
Your opponent got more stables.

You actually didn't do it. 2 Stables is far from enough for this type of strategy.

Also, why didn't you play your stables on turn 4?  You ended up buying a hamlet instead of a silver (the stables could have at worst drawn 2 coppers and 1 estate)

You got poor draws here giving you two hamlet turns early on. Those hamlets though were a hindrance to your deck. If you needed to make a discard decision for stables, barons, or warehouses you were making a worse decision if you had to choose between a hamlet (drawing an unknown card) and a known card card. You finished with five hamlets in your deck when you perhaps should have finished with none.

You could also have continued with harems ahead of duchies for a little longer. It's worse vp but your economy was poor.

Maybe turn 8 buy Stables/Stables instead of Province/Hamlet.  Like DG said, those Hamlets are almost worse than copper here.

Hitting $2 three times really killed you though.  This is not a board where you fist pump when you get 5/2.  And to make the luck swing even more glaring, he gets to open $4/$5, which is particularly huge for him since his options for a second $4 are pretty bad.
