It shut a whole game down, and created the Civility Pledge.

That's the biggest one I can think of, so that's probably what he's talking about.

Great question, and the short answer is I don't know.  I haven't played Dominion since Iso shut down, so news of Goko was what brought me here.  That news was generally disappointing.

Mafia doesn't really interest me as a player, though I will give some thought to modding again.  What interests me most right now are other games played here.  I see that Pandemic never really took off after those 3 or 4 games, but I would love to play again.  I posted in the applicable thread, but I can't remember if the keeper of those details was Joth, so that thread may not be applicable or useful any longer.

Acquire also interests me, and an Acquire game got started, but the thread simply stopped.  I guess the game was abandoned.

Was the civility issue the newbie game? I think it was newbie mafia 7? Maybe 9.

But I think it was a little more about a trend of people taking things personally as people getting hurt so the civility pledge was a bit of a reaffirmation of the fact that it's a game and it's meant to be fun and we all love eachother.

It's bound to happen in any online setting, empathy is nearly impossible without the ability to engage in facial mimicry and since we can't see eachother we can't empathize.

How did you feel you were treated by society though? I mean, there's always teenage angst and "me against the world" but people tend to draw a lot of (I think) unfair conclusions about someone based on their age. I'm not saying just about young people either, the elderly are also discriminated against.
