One where I get trounced at the only BM strategy I enjoy:
trader. I thought it was the standard trader/gardens pool. Saw the scheme/peddler combo (had actually played it
a couple of games before), but thought it would put you down too much in the trader/gardens race, failing to foresee Hampuse's brilliant trader on peddler play. I saw all the combo pieces separately, but Hampus saw the big picture.
Now the next game is less impressive, because my opponent just went for a boring
alchemist loop, leaving me all the time in the world to do some non-sensical comboing via mint, HoP and KC. I do wonder, however, what the optimal tactics is if both players went for the 'complicated' strategy. Any thoughts?
