I more and more despise snowballing cards on some boards. It's cool for a deckbuilding game to reward the better deck, but I hate it when one player gets an unlucky start and draw and is pretty much lost afterwards. Examples are Peddlers, Minions, Grand Markets, etc, where a 7-3 or 8-2 split isn't rare with similar strategies and one especially good or bad draw being the difference.

How could so many people despise KC! There are so many posibilities with this card.
I see why you hate it, though. I do too. It is one of those cards that you can hate and love, like Possession.

(the first 4 change the nature of the game and have tons of interaction. The last one coincidentally helps with all of the first four, and just plain does everything for the low price of $2!)

Despise (such a strong word):
IGG
Jack of all trades
Black market
Treasure map

(funny that all of my despise cards I have very high win rates with - especially jack and IGG. In general though I don't like the random nature of all four of those cards. Next on the list would be minion, tournament and kings court - but if I'm in the mood I enjoy playing those games. I rarely enjoy an IGG rush or a bm jack algorithm or the random swings of tm or the inability to strategize with black market)

That said, two of my favorite games I've ever played were with black market. One was come from behind (I've written it up somewhere on this site), the second was a game where I had fairgrounds worth 10 vp each...

I hate Ambassador and Ghost Ship.

I adore Grand Market, and any Village/+3 Cards engine components (Rabble, Torturer, Margrave).
