The Crew takes an already strict game and adds more rules to restrict the player. You're not allowed to talk, not allowed to plan, not allowed to strategize, and yet it's a game that needs cooperation. If any of that doesn't sound appealing, then you're likely going to move on from The Crew pretty quickly. There will be a time and a place for The Crew, but it will be few and far between sessions when you have anything more exciting to play.

After putting Catan away for awhile it has recently hit the table twice and what a slog it is.

1. The game goes for far too long, players prone to AP can make this classic a nightmarish time hog.

2. The Dice, the evil six sided overlords of Catan. Bad dice rolls & your doing nothing and waiting for another turn to possibly do nothing again. No mitigation = boredom.

3. No balance, once the game gets rolling and a player gets behind there is very little chance of actual catch up or enjoyable play and Catan turns into a take that game.

So we are at 4/2 and we know mafia and traitor took a minimum of two roles. Town gets one modification to start and we know of two more modifications.

Also if their is another neighborhood we know one of those three players is either a traitor or mafia so I think a second neighborhood claim if it exists would be good.

A restless spirit still has actual power so they should not claim.

We can now trust efhw’s results though knowing that didds was mafia I think it is slightly more likely than usual that didds would do the nk

Right I mean luckily/unfortunately all we got were a no result on robz and awa neither of which are super strong mafia taking the nk candidates and with redirect or as well I agree I don’t think the no result does a whole lot in the way of clearing either of them.

I imagine the remaining scum and traitor know each other, or at least in one direction.

Hopefully we can get something helpful from the Didds wagon. Need to reread more carefully but Robz stands out to me given how hard he was fighting against it, which could be scum desperately trying to eke out the win at the last minute. But then he did ultimately vote for Didds, which helped town and doesn’t even earn much bussing credit if he is scum so I dunno.

I should update you all that we’re now one week away from baby’s due date and I am getting slightly nervous about what happens to this game if baby comes early, which would likely result in a sudden and long V/LA that could really screw things up the closer we get to endgame. So I’m proactively reaching out to faust to request replacement, but in the meantime I’ll keep playing until he finds someone.

Well my reads were wrong, surprise surprise. Or at least partly wrong. We should all probably go back and see how the WCD wagon got built.

The only person still alive who did not join the WCD wagon is Cuzz, so he should automatically be a suspect at this point. Then again it's clear that at least one scum did bus WCD.

This is not a strong possibility, in fact it's virtually impossible. If it's me and Cuzz, we could have both declined to vote for didds and there would have been no exile, putting the scum team of didds-Robz-Cuzz in a likely winning position.
