With your reasoning being that those are easier people to read? I agree in theory and mostly in practice, although I don't personally think I can read Mix any better or worse than the people not on this list.

You respond by saying you agree with my theory and in practice but you cant read mix well.

My bottom two slots are very open, which is why I want to hear more from Jack and scola.

But mcmc and Cuzz are excluded by design.

It’s not that either of them is being scummy per se (the randomness thing is barely a case, even I admit). But when I think about how active a role scum is most likely taking in the coalition shaping, those are the slots I’m drawn to.

I think taking out active players because they are "likely taking an active role in coalition shaping" is a very bad idea.

I’m being pretty active but I disagree that I’m doing all that much to shape the coalition so far. I haven’t even chosen a 5th member yet.

People can do what they want but again I think there’s a little too much high dimensional chess going on. To me it seems like the way to go is basically to list folks from townie to scummy, take your top 5, and then try to have at least 5 of us come to a consensus. 

It’s ok if you don’t think I’m town, but I’d much prefer being left off because of an argument that there are 5 specific people townier than me.

Pretty sure thats what robz is implying and I have to take him at his word although the idea that anyone can read awaclus well is mind boggling to me. Though not that I am thinking I feel like I recall robz mentioning this to me IRL back in the day.

I took out Eevee because of the daychat thing. I thought that was obvious.

I added Mix because you and Joth want him in the coalition, I don't have a strong feeling for or against, and we'll have to make concessions in order to have five people approve the same coalition. Hemming and hawwing over individual selections will end up being anti-town.

Yea! I typed the following post with the removal and adding bolded:

And as I was typing scum I stopped and thought to myself oh god I am omgus scum reading joth for losely D1 scumreading me for being active for the millionth time and I absolutely must stop. Then I removed the bolding so as to not change my current coalition of me, robz, joth, eevee, mix and continued to make the post because I think its helpful.

Also I know that the fact that I frequently scum read Joth as town early on in a game would seem to be counter to the fact that I think I can read Joth well however my "ability to read X player well" was directed at the ability to correctly guess the players alignment late game via a re-read.
