Has anyone played it? It's a roguelike deckbuilder a little similar to Slay the Spire, but the deck in question is a literal regular playing card deck (at least at first) and instead of combat you're playing poker hands to try to hit score targets. Just picked it up last night but it's a lot of fun so far.

I've apparently played over 100 hours of Balatro, which was very much a "wait I've played that much" moment. Currently waiting for the update to properly drop but I've beaten every deck up to blue stakes (5/8), and a couple have gone further including one up to Gold. 15/20 challenges done as well.

The game is very fun, and quite addictive. It has a good balance between luck and strategy - I don't feel that bad when I lose, but it is satisfying to win.

...spin-offs are still better for all of the previously cited reasons.
But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.
