Hasty Territory

Suppose a Hasty trait is set on the Clash pile. I am buying a Territory, which is a Victory card without any other type.
Do I understand correctly that Territory will stay aside indefinitely, as there is no way to "play" it?

Hasty: "When you gain a Hasty card, set it aside, and play it at the start of your next turn."

Territory: Worth 1 VP per differently named Victory card you have.
When you gain this, gain a Gold per empty Supply pile.

I thiiiink that there is a way to "play" it, namely, the way to play it is that the Hasty trait tells you to play it. So you put it in your play area at the start of your turn, nothing interesting happens as a result of that, and then discard it during cleanup. I guess if you bought a Grand Castle you'd get a bonus point out of it.

AJD is right, you can play it like normal. It’s mentioned on the wiki:

Playing a card that has no effect (like Territory) will still trigger e.g. Pathfinding, and it can count for e.g. Landing Party.
