It's so easy to exile Didds for being aggro, but that just makes her boring.
It's exactly that aggro (passive aggression really) that makes me think she might be town. In my (very limited) experience, she fights when she's town and sits back when she's scum. In the dwarfs mafia game my (correct) day 1 scumread of her stemmed from her not bothering to fight her wagon.

I hear a lot of complaining about how we're not doing any scumhunting and not a lot of scumhunting.

I'm scumhunting, FWIW. I just don't broadcast my results.

Observing is not complaining. You’ve offered nothing up enigmatic she’s scum one-offs, so there is nothing for me to say to you.
Are you absolutely sure that this is not complaining?
At this point, I’m really just kind of over it. No one cares if I’m scum or not. [...] To me, it feels unfair.. why not just use a RNG?  At the very least it’s a waste of time.
EBWOP

This one line was part of a larger conversation about my lack of engagement, why I was feeling frustrated, and that I was trying not to get my feelings hurt about being run up for what I perceived to be as no reason, or at least as no reason that I could respond to. So, perhaps taken in isolation it is complaining. But the tenor of it wasn't a complaint. It was more of a "oh well".

Joseph, if you want people to vote freely then I think you (and Dylan) need to be not voting.

I think lots of people should vote for MiX, because he is scum, but as it stands they can't because of fearing they'll mess up a test.
Hold out for Dylan to come and run the test if you prefer, but I have a feeling it is stopping people voting where they want to.

I'll lay out a MiX case more clearly in case it helps (though my experience is people run away from my cases!)

The single worst possible outcome of the Mayor/Drunk claiming is if only 1 mayor claimed, and they were proven to be a mayor (not drunk) by an exile going through at (normal) X-1. If that happened then we only get an IC when the day ends and, guess what, scum night-kill them.

After Joseph claimed, this is exactly the route that MiX tried to take us down.

So, we're doing the mayor plan, right? I don't see a downside anymore.

So, we're doing the mayor plan, right? I don't see a downside anymore.

The downside would still be in specifically knowing if Joseph is a Mayor or Drunk. That knowledge is still useful for scum. Surprised you wouldn't see this.

But maybe it's still better for us to know as well? Especially since I'm not sure how we'd be able not to just find out unless Joseph is against whatever wagon we come up with.

It's important for Joseph to know if he's mayor or drunk.

So, we're doing the mayor plan, right? I don't see a downside anymore.
I won't claim if I'm mayor or not.

How exactly is that gonna work?

Mayor plan is just, we get someone to 4 votes, then Joseph votes. If there's no exile, then we get a non-mayor to vote, so on and so forth. Thus we can determine what Joseph is. A hidden mayor also gets information, so it's fine.

I think those quotes make it clear what MiX's agenda was, before the second Mayor claim came.

Fairly sure the votes on MiX at the moment are Joseph, me and faust. So counting 2-4 total.
Could do with a vote count please

I think we're at:

Votes for EFHW (2) : jotheonah, Swowl
Votes for fang (4) : EFHW, scolapasta, gkrieg13, MiX
votes for MiX (3) : Joseph2302, infangthief, faust
votes for faust (1) : WestCoastDidds

not voting: Dylan32
(with 11 alive, it takes 6 votes to exile)

How exactly would it have helped Joseph to find out that he was Mayor, with the final action of the day?
Drunk, ok, that would have been kind of useful, I accept, but that's quite the gamble.

MiX's perfect sacrificial plan:

- Dylan votes for me: I die if both are mayors.
- I unvote fang and both mayors vote fang: fang dies if 1 mayor and 1 liar
- Everyone votes me: we confirm mayor+drunk, or drunk+anything.

Fang, to answer your #408: at the time Joseph claimed, how was my plan not the best one? Forcing people to claim does not work, so with the single claim we had, hell yeah I wanted to confirm and kill Joseph. We have protective roles! A D1 IC is great! And if I was a mayor, I would've snuck in the wagon to do exactly what I'm trying to do right now.

Well it does feel like everyone is leaving it too late and we'll get a no exile....

Talking of which, not sure if I'm going to be around for deadline

This seems workable. It helps us know what we have without specifying who is which role. On the face of it, MiX looks pretty towny for suggesting it. The scum narrative would be that he is so confident that there wouldn't be two mayors that he is willing to take this gamble. I don't understand step three, though. Who is "everyone"
