We used Discord in the last game and it worked well.

We also tried Chatzy, but wasn’t as good

Thanks, I was able to connect.  I've literally never used Discord, though, so that'll take some time to get used to.

Could use a handy guide on how to mod a game using Discord...

I can create a quick tutorial today. I've been using the mobile app, but I could switch over to desktop if that would be more helpful. The permissions can be a little tricky but I think I've got a handle on them.
