that is such a mischaracterization.

I won't disagree that I am all over the board, but that's because I don't know who to trust... so of course I'm trying to play with different ideas.

But the "anyone will bite" part? what specifically? just that I considered didds there for a Dwarf Village minute? that's because I was trying to understand some way that the people all in the fortress could not all be town. Based on what galz was suggesting. so I remembered the wording, came up with a hypothesis. But I went back and reread and realized it didn't work. If I were really trying to get people to bite, I would've switched my vote to her, then to put her at X-1. Let Galz decide if he wants to hammer.

But I didn't nor did I even leave the idea out there long.

Well, I think Galz or Didds just tried to clear themselves by voting with what looked like a sure thing. We will have to find out pasta's partner tomorrow.

Oh well, I wrote that and saw the votes, but figured i'd post anyway.

I'm town and would've been useful to still be alive.

mathdude is scum. I don't know for sure who his partner is, though I think it's most likely swowl.

I mean, that's true of anything we say in this game. Plus it's not if you are town as the the whole exercise is with assuming you are scum.

The fortress was able to take damage in a number of ways. It would automatically get weaker the taller it got, it would take damage from attacks, and it would take one. damage when Brightgalrs died. It had four hit points.

Scum being in the fortress did not weaken it, though, it just made it ineffective AGAINST SCUM. So unfortunately, it only ended up working against the town vig.

Awaclus's QTs made the recipient hated. That effect was permanent and would stack. At the point that it would auto-exile it would have made them a tree stump, at which point I would have given them the option of replacing their body with a tin body.

I think that's everything important. I will take additional questions.

Even thought Swowl was 1-shot deathproof and would have survived the NK, he also could not have succeeded with his vig kill because of the fortress and mathdude's ability. So I couldn't see any feasible way he could avoid being exiled the next day -- even with Galz and Didds hated it would take 2 votes to kill them with four alive. Hence, endgamed.

This is currently my mafia legacy. 2 games died D1 as town. This game I won as scum. Guess I'll prepare to be exiled D2 in my next game.

There were lots of good reads this game, actually. It took quite a bit of effort to make sure they didn’t coalesce! You, Awaclus, fang and Scola (for the most part) we’re all often spot on.

It was a mistake from me to use my ability on pubby. At the time it felt like I was still in the info gathering stage of the game (and I didn't know it would cause hated in particular although I did expect it to be something harmful), and I didn't properly consider that it might have more long-lasting effects that would still continue to make a difference even in the stage where we're actually supposed to exile scum. In retrospect, enough info was there by N1 to figure out a better target, but I didn't expect it to be there so I didn't even look for it.

I'm happy I read Didds correctly! I'm sad I read math incorrectly. Oh well, I do know Didds more than math.

I think it's fair to add math to the scola basket of "kill these people or they will never be noticed until they win as scum".

I love QTs and QT-heavy games but I always forget that this happens and I should really try to mitigate it.

Didds wouldn't have killed anyone. Her ability would just do nothing to non-Dwarf Dwarves.

This is a change I made when she rolled scum because I thought giving scum a conditional extra kill along with the sword would be too much.

Ideas from this game that have merit for a real game:
- The fortress
- Compulsive vig-granting as a scum power
- A character who has a useful power (probably more useful than QTs) that also hands out hated chits as a side effect.

Honestly it might be fun to build a whole game around loved/hated mechanics.
