Conference over! Now I can start reviewing and hopefully improve my scum reading today.

While I don't know LaLight well, based on his tagline, this reminded me of him:

A dead MiX is always a good thing in Mafia, as far as I'm concerned, but then he and I don't have much chemistry.

Too bad we didn't see scum pop each other, but this is still a decent N1 result for us, better than two dead masons at least.

I'm going to try to get time to reread D1 but I have a note I left myself about Galz being kinda scummy, so until I have time to digest how this new info changes things I think I'll vote: Galzria

It took me awhile to come around on MiX, but now I dig him. He has a super dry sense of humor that it takes a minute to get, so if you keep hanging around (welcome back, by the way!) you might soften towards him. Kind of like getting used to a new industry in your town.

Glaz was being super scummy, especially knowing that when he was pushing Swowl, he was getting town lynched.  And the original tussle he was having that drew all the attention was with MiX, if there is anyone as scum that would have a public faux-fight, it would be MiX and Galz. But that is all off memory.  I need to read once I actually get through with my work for today.

I know we're all depressed about losing Swowl and LL, but why are you assuming Galz knew Swowl was town?

That’s a harsh sentiment. I may not have showed much remorse for getting Swan on D1, but that’s because I thought he was scum! I don’t know where you’re getting the “especially because Galz knew he was getting Town lynched” - I certainly did NOT!

I WAS wrong about MiX, which I think I knew in my heart of hearts as I even posted about the irony that would exist as I was town reading him. Still, I’m not unhappy. It DID lead one scum faction to kill him, so yay for that.

Didds, you’re not entirely wrong that in a normal game, it would be within my range as scum to stage a fight with my partner publicly. Two things on that though: First, I wouldn’t do it D1 unless it was with someone like faust where if we DIDN’T go at each other it would be far more suspicious than us doing so - and Second (and this is the big, big point), I absolutely would not EVER do it in a Multi-ball (or likely public Vig) setup. That’s literally INVITING the other scum team to shoot me at night.

MiX didn’t really have a choice but to engage with me. I forced that on him. For him, it’s really unfortunate that he WAS scum, because there wasn’t any way out of my forced interaction, and it drew attention. I guarantee that whole thing wasn’t in his gameplan going in to D1. 😁

Still, if y’all want to start a revolution against me, so be it. I’m happy to go out D2 having been responsible for forcing scum!MiX into the open D1, and as a result, lead to him being NK’d N1.

I really don't get the quick hammer still early in the day - felt like Rocky knocking out Apollo Creed, when there were still many rounds to go in the fight!

That said, it kind of works for my schedule as I have a work zoom conference these next 3 days, so won't be around as much.

(If there's anything that I feel I critically need to answer, I'll try to get to it during some break, here or there)

I mean, it makes for good theater. #popcorn

Honestly I’m not displeased with my reasoning for Swan here. It’s D1, and his statement was either scum-driven or poorly phrased. He generally doesn’t speak in absolutes, and it’s strange for him to pick something as arbitrary as a set of interactions (as compared to, say, competing claims) to setup a “one-of-two must be scum” argument

I’m not trying to be harsh.... this sure seems to be imbued with a heap of certainty. If you’re scum (definitely possible) then you did know for sure that it was a frame up.  I’m not trying to suggest, however, that your definitely scum. Just near the top of my list right now, but I haven’t had my eye on the ball with summer school wrapping up.

Well, I don’t know that for sure, obviously. I realize that this may have sounded more blustery than I intended. After the flips, I’m just annoyed with myself for getting played.

We all know I'm not a mason so no one else comment. Should the other mason claim? Let me write up a diagram:

Pros: IC for the day, one less person for the rest of us to reread, helpful with POE.

IC is useless on someone who isn't getting lynched anyway. There's another thing with this analysis that's off. To help me illustrate the point, we can think of each Mason as a node. Thinking of Masons as nodes doesn't help me illustrate the point and it isn't a very complicated point to begin with so let's not do that. It's possible (and actually more likely than not) that we have two Masons now. I think a Mason should only claim when it is necessary to prevent a lynch, maybe to dissolve a big wagon.

I also don't see why people couldn't comment on this. Nothing that I said here is indicative of whether or not I'm a Mason, and I would expect most people can discuss strategy from an objective perspective without revealing their roles.

In other news, vote: WCD

It's good to come out of the trance like state I was in during the conference. Now I can get back to these games. Thought it feels it's going to be a quiet weekend. So I may save more effort for next week.

Now I'll be a turkey and

vote: scolapasta

for four reasons. 1. MiX was on him for a "long" time (for MiX) at the start of the game. Early bussing is a common scum strategy. 2. scolapasta got on the Swowl wagon without checking the vc, suggesting he may not share town priorities. 3. He asked what the case was on MiX. 4. More fluff than usual.

Now, I am sure there are good explanations for each of these things, so I am not claiming to have an ironclad case. But it's where I lean at the moment.

We pause this game for an important message.  Within the last century, the balance of votes has become accessible.  Do not hesitate to challenge each other so as to dilute the peace.  If you don't wish to do so, please hide in a bush until further notice.

Vote Count 2.2

Galzria (1): chairs
WestCoastDidds (1): Awaclus
scolapasta (1): EFHW
Not Voting (5): Joseph2302, WestCoastDidds, mail-mi, Galzria, scolapasta

With 8 alive, it takes 5 to lynch.

Day 2 will end Friday, June 26 at 1:00 PM Forum Time.

Thanks, EFHW, for the hard work. That is really helpful. Scola definitely seems to skate by but I'm wondering how a
vote: Chairs might fit this situation.

This game feels like it has shut down. Needs a game owner to re invigorate and energise (energize) this witch hunt

Yeah, it seems like we need to throw in a fresh variable to keep the game rolling. Let's lynch Didds?

Nooooooooooo......lunching Didd’s is a terrible idea! And with zero reason why. I definitely have an issue with that. Let’s feast on scum instead.

I'll be honest this game hasn't been top of mind what with Father's Day weekend and all. I'm hoping today (not Today, but actual today) I can reread and see what I can glean.

That's mean.

I'm fine with wcd. I think the best is vote: Galz though, their little interaction at the beginning with MiX reeks of scum partnership.
