Good morning!

I find myself thinking about stopping in to say hi after I’ve read to catch up and see what’s going on, but sometimes the effort for coverage is not worth the effort of looking up my word. The words simultaneously tamp down extra posts, but also create all kinds of fluffy posts where the word choice can’t really be scrutinized because we’re all using new vocabulary, similes, metaphors, and other linguistic devices.

Does anyone have a good system for how they are managing their word lists? I’ve got mine in a note on my phone with check boxes, but it’s not terribly efficient. Better ideas?

I find it highly ironic that MiX is Awaclus’ biggest fan....and Awaclus is voting for MiX.

sudgy gave me permission to copy the list in my QT and edit it as I use words.

I have mine as achecklist in Trello.

I hear everyone about end of day posting, but I also am looking forward to it.

Right now, if I I can't think if a way to sneak my word in during my daily conversations with the Europeans, I can just think in it for a while, and thens slip it in by the time the West coast folks are posting.

No such luxury, end of day, so I feel that the increased absurdity level* will be entertaining.

*posts comparing giraffes to blueberries and four poster beds will become the norm

Just look at the list a bunch and try to remember which word you last used...yeah I got nothing.

I suggest posting once in a while to refresh your memory and to keep the last used word in recent memory. Otherwise I'm open to a promotion of my current rudimentary system. The only good thing about it is being the same one for mobile and PC.

Yeah, I don’t have anything special. I just keep the list open in a second tab and remember where I’m at. I haven’t found tracking my list to be particularly difficult. The words are generally obscure enough that I’m not going to forget that I’ve already past “corn”, or “groundskeeper”, or “royalty” etc - most words aren’t exactly commonly used in a Mafia game post afterall, and the thought used to craft a post is enough for me to glance at the list and go “yeah, I’ve used up to “granite” so far, my next word is “plague””.

Ya'll are clearly better at holding things in your memory than I am. I can remember....in my mind's eye....back when I was a young lass with a super memory, but those days have faded. Perhaps with the onset of so many freaking mental responsibilities. 

Like father's day.  Hey, its almost father's day in the Us.  If you have a father, and he is somewhat better than awful and still alive, send a card.  My dad died years and years ago on father's day weekend, so this is never my favorite time of year but dads in general are awesome so, if you have one, be sweet to him on Sunday.

In the meantime.... I think I am sold on scum!Swowl, but I am also curious about Awaclus.  MiX, are you feeling in your usual role of Awa defender? Why is he town...or IS HE?!?!

For me, the case boils down to his statement of: “ I am just gonna let this Galz and MiX thing play out here, but pretty much one of them have to be skum here...”

It’s the definitive expression that strikes me as scummy. I see no reason that MiX and my interactions in any way indicate that one of us “must” be scum. I instigated some weird crap because it’s BM and I’m having fun messing around. I don’t think I do that ever as scum (make a spectacle for no discernible reason), but especially D1 with so much game left - and ESPECIALLY not in a multi-ball setup.

MiX, the target of my randomness, couldn’t exactly ignore me. So a statement of near certainty that “pretty much one of them have to be scum” feels entirely like he’s attempting to do one of two things:

Either one of us IS scum (but not his faction), so he’s trying to direct a lynch to us knowing it’s safe for him.

Or we’re both Town in which case at worst he’s hoping to influence the reads of his opposing scum faction into NK’ing us - again, a very safe outcome for him as it directs away from him/his partner.

It’s not a conclusive case all tied up in a knot, but I’m definitely feeling it for D1.

This game is a start of an era for mafia, and I can't believe I'm contemporary to it. I mean, is Swowl even scum? Who knows? Exactly 1 person (other than Swowl) might know.

I feel like I need to quote a ton of posts now, but...there's not much to say.

I think my wagon has been a reservoir of information tbh.

1) I do not make cases on Day 1 as town... almost ever.
2) I do not make cases on Day 1 as skum... like ever ever.
3) If I were gonna actually try to push for a lynch as skum, it would be better than this.

 But more importantly, I made a vote based on like... the most far fetched theory on the planet. Not the case itself, but the fact that it has been responded to with such urgency... makes me feel just fine with pursing it at this point.
