heyyy everybody! god im so excited to be playing a big mafia game with a hunger games theme!

i'm glad i checked the thread; i wanted to make this statement early:

I did not get my item in the first round of drafting.

I don't think it's a good idea for anyone else to claim whether they got an item in the first round of drafting.

Then why did you claim?

kind of a complicated train of thought, tbh! basically i figured that, by itself, my claim was a small enough piece of information that it wouldn't give anything dangerous to scum. but i think that if more people followed suit then it might.

I was more hoping we could use the fact that people have had the chance to form some sort of read on at least one person to skip the RVS shenanigans and get the game going

No issue with it at all.  As there is no discussion on how the results occurred, it only serves for item claiming stuff anyway.  Like, I see value in people ranking the items by value (understanding scum probably lies) and keeping that as a data point for future claims. 

Knowing draft order in advance of claims helps sort likelihood of lies, but there is an ancillary benefit to scum guessing what is/isn’t safe to claim.  Then again, with the swing/miss mechanic, who knows?

Knowing your pair partner could help with some determinations, too. At the very least, claims should include draft number and round.

why would scum lie about what item they got/bid on? do you think certain items are scummy/towny just based on their names?

Meh. The scums in those QTs will be able to tell themselves whether they are suspected most of the time. I don't believe they need ADK to ask this question for them.

I didn't get a good read on my district partner because we didn't say all to much to each other, bit of that being my fault and a little busy during that time
