i think it is a less than 1% chance that i was redirected. a bus driver is far more likely.

b: it is the second. 50% to hit, then 50% to kill. and i guess i find out if i hit but not necessarily if i killed (didn't know that before last night)

I like seeing the confidences attached to your beliefs, but i find 1% awfully low for an Ash game where the chances of any given PR's function coinciding commpletely with standard named Mafia roles is surely low. Let's say <20%, since I did just say confidences are good.

I don't think a role that takes all actions targeting one player and channels them instead onto another player is at all unlikely, so I find the 1% assertion iffy.

Anyway, I think the conversation has to some extent moved past the point addressed here because Cayvie has now revealed that her other action was also retargeted, albeit to a person other than MiX. However, I think we still need to work at being open-minded in our role reasoning in order to piece things together.

i think this is my first game with you, skip, & swan! nice to meet you too. i played here a long time ago, and now i am back, i guess!

also this game is making it clear to me that redirecting roles clearly do not have universally accepted names and functions.

I have been staring at this for like 30 effing minutes and I am no where.

Cayvie - There is a split in actions off of Cayvie. EFHW went to MiX, and MailMi went to Eddie. What could possibly cause that? If someone re-directs an a player it is all of their actions right? same with a bus driver swap yeah? And I have done some digging but it looks like there used to be a role referred to as a Deflector, but that seems to be all uses of power as well.

Skip - Interacts with Cayvie. Targets her with whatever it is, but instead it goes to MailMi. So that is so far all of Cayvies actions just being fucked with.

MailMi - Confirms "education" from Skip, which would at least lean us towards truth. As in, skip targeted Cayvie with an education, but MailMi Got it instead.

Eddie - Confirming with the last word thing that Cayvie ended up sending them the message.


So from start to finish - I gotta say I am just befuzzled on Cayvie here. like to the extent they almost have to be town imo. IDK what else to think. They claim first on like effing everything and it all gets backed up. So either they are all skum, or cayvie is town right? someone tell me why that doesn't make sense please. Real ask.
Then Skip, the specifics of education from MailMi would insist that that is something that Skip did actually intend to do. As MailMi and Cayvie are both alive, and MailMi was the one with the message... we can deduce that it is not a kill action and it is not what messed with cayvie. The obv being unless Mailmi and Skip are both skum, but lets take it down from there for now.
And then Eddie asking for confirmation and getting it from cayvie. Same potential both skum thing, but dial that down again.
And EFHW seems to be in the middle. Which now that everything is out I stand by even more, I do not see any skum points to be assigned to her for these actions. Obviously, it is either theater put on by skum or it is messed with.

Someone with more brain power wanna poke into that a little please? a) lies, or b) some role I have never seen before... I got nothing I can go on here.

I really suspect, though, that I was targeted by some chaos beam or something that made everything that touched me go awry

again sarcasm ish. Although the point could stand. Either they are all in it together, or at least pairs of target and target able, or cayvie is town... I am basing the cayvie is town thing not just on the actions listed but how cayvie came out with them. I don't see how they would claim what they have in the order that they claimed the things and they are skum if there is not not more skum in that group. so I guess, "all of them are skum" is an exaggeration. But there would need to be more than just 1 for this to all make sense if skum is in there right?
